Your Role:</b></h3>
<p>
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Clearing team you'll work on what happens after the trade is made. Most of the work we do is not user facing (although we have some user facing systems as well) but is very much essential to the day to day operations of a Broker Dealer company.</p>
<p>
During the past couple years we've become self-clearing in US equities, US options, and this is the team at the heart of those achievements. We're not stopping there: there are always new (not yet announced) integrations to build, and new product offerings to enable through those integrations.</p>
<p>
Beyond core clearing, we also work on securities finance related functions and building the infrastructure that allows us to launch new product offerings, like Fully Paid Securities Lending. There may also be additional exciting initiatives currently in development.</p>

<ul><li>You understand that we're working on systems people entrust with their hard earned money and you take that very seriously</li>

<li>You (have taken and) can take the lead on a project: we'll describe what we're trying to fix or build, who to reach out to if you need help, and you'll handle the rest</li>

Your Role:</b></h3>
<p>
Your job is to build Alpaca's proprietary set of services to meet our users' expectations for high quality and performance in their advisory service (Block Trading, Portfolio management, IRA, etc). This opportunity is similar to joining AWS or Heroku in their early days, designing and architecting our platform by wearing many different hats in our small team. As an experienced engineer, you will write tons of code and make critical decisions about delivering the best experience to our customers. This certainly requires deep knowledge in both frontend and backend, databases and distributed systems, as well as broad experience from low to high level in CPU-level hardware for high throughput, robust concurrency system design, abstract distributed system architecture for high availability and object-oriented data modelling with long-term growth in mind. Joining an early-stage startup, the payoff to this highly demanding environment will be worth the effort.</p>
<p>
You must have previous software engineering experience with trading or exchange systems (OMS, EMS, exchanges, market making, algorithmic trading, quant trading).</p>

Your Role:</b></p>
<p>
This is a Team Lead role for a technically strong engineer who balances hands-on engineering with team management responsibilities. This person will lead the systems, tooling, and frontend architecture that power marketing funnels, landing pages, and regional web experiences. You will own the engineering side of acquisition, manage and grow the engineers on the team, while driving the architecture and the team's technical execution across Alpaca's global web platform.</p>
<p>
We are looking for someone who can improve how content gets designed, produced, reviewed, localized, and shipped across regions. You'll work across Engineering, Design, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal to make the web platform faster to operate, easier to scale, and better at converting users.</p>
<p>
You will lead the acquisition engineering function, support and mentor engineers in the area, and drive improvements in conversion, content operations, and regional delivery as Alpaca expands globally.</p>

Things you'll do</b></h2>
<ul><li>Directly manage and support engineers working in the acquisition area, including performance, coaching, and prioritization</li>
<li>Act as the technical lead for acquisition engineering and help grow the team over time</li>
<li>Own the engineering side of acquisition, website experience and our customer funnels with a strong focus on reducing friction and improving conversion</li>
<li>Build and improve the analytics, instrumentation, and observability needed to understand funnel performance and conversion behavior</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Product, and Branding to deliver compliant and effective regional experiences</li>
<li>Design and maintain a headless CMS architecture that supports both global and region-specific content</li>
<li>Build CMS-driven frontend applications using React and TypeScript</li>
<li>Define and evolve content models that account for region-specific product offerings and regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Implement publishing workflows that support review and approval by regional compliance teams</li>
<li>Improve the tooling and workflows that connect Design, content creation, and implementation</li>
