Alpha Omega is looking for a Public Health Analyst with very strong data management and analysis skills to work with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) HIV Prevention Capacity Development Branch. The Public Health Data Analyst, primarily using SAS will manage and analyze quantitative epidemiological, clinical and/or behavioral data and provide output in the format requested. This is a remote role but proximity to the Atlanta area is desired. Some

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Conduct analysis and interpretation of data in SAS.</li>
<li>Enter definitions of variables for survey questionnaires, including variable names, range labels, default values, and question strings.</li>
<li>Generate data retrievals and summary outputs.</li>
<li>Support dissemination and reporting of data to stakeholders.</li>
<li>Write SAS programs to generate surveillance reports.</li>
<li>Provide routine analysis and interpretation of data, data entry, coding, and transcription.</li>
<li>Develop presentation graphics, Including MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).</li>
<li>Perform literature searches and summarize findings from the resulting literature.</li>
<li>Develop SAS programs for managing and validating data.</li>
<li>Review output from the SAS programs and identify problems in the output (to make corrections in the way data are collected).</li>
<li>Review data error logs, ensuring requested data modifications are performed according to protocol.</li>
<li>Identify errors/omissions of variable formats or labels.</li>
<li>Document problems and proposed corrections before finalizing data set.</li>
<li>Review the quality of weights as indicated.</li>
<li>Document problems with the SAS program and any proposed corrections needed to finalize data.</li>
<li>Review SAS programs generated to create analysis variables for the cycle by comparing code with similar SAS code known to be valid for creating the variable (e.g., from past cycles or another programmer) or by generating cross-tabulations of the variables comprising analysis variables.</li>
<li>Merge data from various sources into spreadsheets; conduct necessary steps to ensure quality of resulting merge.</li>
<li>Assist with developing data management processes and protocols.</li>
<li>Support development of thematic summaries.</li></ul> 


Required Qualifications:

Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in health informatics, public health, statistics, or related field and 6 years of experience, or master's degree and 2 years or PhD</li>
</ul>
Experience/Skills:
<ul>
<li>2-3 years of experience in generating SAS-based reports using a variety of methods (e.g., PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE) and exporting those reports to other formats such as Microsoft Excel, PDF, and HTML.</li>
<li>Skill in manipulating and cleaning data, managing, and validating datasets using a variety of SAS functions, formats/informats, macros, and procedures.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources to monitor and assess data to ensure data quality, including accuracy and completeness.</li>
<li>Experience conducting descriptive and basic inferential analyses and regression modeling (e.g., logistic or linear).</li>
<li>Experience maintaining datasets, codebooks, and analytic documentation.</li>
<li>Experience working with qualitative data (interviews, open-ended responses).</li>
<li>Ability to create tables, figures, and summaries for reports.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate analytic results clearly.</li>
<li>Ability to follow established analytic plans and support development of new analyses.</li></ul> 


Desired Skills:
<ul>
<li>R and Python skills are preferred for data management and basic statistical analysis.</li>
<li>Knowledge of behavioral and social science research methods.</li>
<li>Experience supporting research reports, presentations, or manuscripts.</li>
<li>Detail oriented and able to create meticulous documentation of variables, datasets, and data attributes with a commitment to generating accurate data and products.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and ability to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Knowledge of or interest in HIV, behavioral surveillance, or public health data.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks across projects (e.g., SHIELD, NEXUS, IDU-SP).</li>
<li>Possess advanced methodology skills or interest in learning (e.g., machine learning, NLP, latent class analysis).</li>
<li>Willingness to learn new analytic tools and methods as project needs evolve.</li>
<li>Exposure to integrating qualitative and quantitative findings.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of reproducible workflows (e.g., organized code, version tracking).</li>
<li>Interest in or exposure to mixed methods approaches.</li>
<li>Familiarity with MAXQDA, NVivo, or similar software.</li>
<li>Ability to assist with coding and applying codebooks.</li>
<li>Familiarity with survey data and weighting concepts.</li>

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $57,000- $60,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

This role will be 100% remote for the foreseeable future. Key Responsibilities:

<li>Oversee all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or significant segments of large and complex projects.

</li><li>Provide applications systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to agile methodologies, Lean-Agile principles, and the SAFe framework.
</li><li>Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
</li><li>Coach and mentor team members on agile practices and principles.

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Business Analyst in support of our DHS USCIS ODOS customer. 


Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li> Collaborate directly with Agile Development Team, consisting of client leadership, the Developers, Designers, and additional Agile Business Analysts,
 </li><li>Decompose and document large initiatives into smaller features and user stories</li>
<li> Write user stories that clearly describe the desired business outcome and contain non-prescriptive &ndash; but testable - Acceptance Criteria that enables teams to define the best solution.</li>
<li> Manage the backlog based on priorities and assign user stories based on capacity</li>
<li> Present documented features and user stories to stakeholders for feedback.</li>
<li> Triage and resolve potential user incidents involving interacting with end-users
 </li><li>Facilitate and lead meetings with various internal and external stakeholders</li></ul> 


Required Qualifications:

Required Experience/Skills:
<ul>
<li> 3+ years Business Analyst Experience</li>
<li> Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.</li>
<li> Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels</li>
<li> Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs into user stories</li>
<li> Ability to test user stories against acceptance criteria</li>
<li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members</li>
<li> Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively</li>
<li>Experience using JIRA and Confluence</li></ul> 


(Required or Preferred) Education:
<ul>
<li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in computer science or equivalent</li></ul> 


 Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $81,000 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
