Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified looking for a Scientific Data Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting a project in Atlanta, GA. This role will be 100% remote for the foreseeable future. In this role, you will manage and analyze quantitative epidemiological, clinical and/or behavioral data and provide output in the format requested.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Conduct analysis and interpretation of data using SAS, R, SPSS</li>
<li>Enter definitions of variables for survey questionnaires, including variable names, range labels, default values, and question strings.</li>
<li>Generate data retrievals and summary outputs.</li>
<li>Support dissemination and reporting of data to stakeholders.</li>
<li>Write SAS programs to generate surveillance reports.</li>
<li>Provide routine analysis and interpretation of data, as well as data entry, coding, and transcription.</li>
<li>Develop presentation graphics, Including MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).</li>
<li>Develop SAS programs for managing and validating data.</li>
<li>Review output from the SAS programs, identify problems in the output (to make corrections in the way data are collected)</li>
<li>Review data error logs to ensure that requested data modifications are done according to the protocol.</li>
<li>Identify errors/omissions of variable formats or labels.</li>
<li>Document problems and proposed corrections before finalizing the data set.
</li><li>Review the data files to document problems and proposed corrections needed to be made to finalize the data set.</li>
<li>Review the quality of the weights as indicated.</li>
<li>Document problems with the SAS program and any proposed corrections needed to finalize the data.</li>
<li>Review the SAS programs generated to create analysis variables for the cycle by comparing the code with similar SAS code known to be valid for creating the variable (e.g., from past cycles or another programmer) or by generating cross-tabulations of the variables comprising the analysis variables.</li>
<li>Merge data from different sources into spreadsheets; conduct necessary steps to ensure quality of the resulting merge.</li>
<li>Assist with developing data management processes and protocols</li>
</ul>
Required Experience:
<ul>
<li>Three (3) years of experience in generating SAS-based reports using a variety of methods (e.g., PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE) and exporting those reports to other formats such as Microsoft Excel, PDF, and HTML.</li>
<li>Skill in manipulating and cleaning data using a variety of SAS functions, formats/informats, macros, and procedures.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources to monitor and assess data to ensure data quality, including accuracy and completeness.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience:
<ul>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in public health, statistics, or related field.</li>
<li>Knowledge of public health promotion programs and data</li>
<li>Knowledge of behavioral and social science research methods.</li>
<li>Experience preparing with research papers or presentations.</li>
<li>Detail oriented and able to create meticulous documentation of variables, datasets, and data attributes with a commitment to generating accurate data and products.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills</li>
</ul>
Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Public Health, Statistics, or related field.</li></ul> 


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Public Health Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting a project in Atlanta, GA. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform routine data management tasks (data cleaning, data processing, merging data files).</li>
<li>Perform complex and advanced statistical analyses. Prepare reports, manuscripts, briefing materials, etc.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of data management and data analyses plans; procedures for data collection (including recommendations among different sampling plans, data sources, and cost/time investments).</li>
<li>Prepare written reports explaining data analysis.</li>
</ul>
Required Experience:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of public health promotion programs</li>
<li>Conduct analysis and interpretation of data using SAS, R, SPSS</li>
<li>Proficiency with a data visualization platform, such as PowerBI, or Tableau</li>
<li>Detail oriented and able to create meticulous documentation of variables, datasets and data attributes with a commitment to generating accurate data and products.</li>
<li>Ability to create tables, figures, and summaries for reports</li>
<li>Proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges</li>

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Oversee all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or significant segments of large and complex projects.

</li><li>Provide applications systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities.</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to agile methodologies, Lean-Agile principles, and the SAFe framework.

</li><li>Coach and mentor team members on agile practices and principles.

Required Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

<li> Collaborate directly with Agile Development Team, consisting of client leadership, the Developers, Designers, and additional Agile Business Analysts,
 </li><li>Decompose and document large initiatives into smaller features and user stories</li>
<li> Write user stories that clearly describe the desired business outcome and contain non-prescriptive &ndash; but testable - Acceptance Criteria that enables teams to define the best solution.</li>
<li> Manage the backlog based on priorities and assign user stories based on capacity</li>
<li> Present documented features and user stories to stakeholders for feedback.</li>
<li> Triage and resolve potential user incidents involving interacting with end-users
 </li><li>Facilitate and lead meetings with various internal and external stakeholders</li></ul> 


Required Qualifications:

Required Experience/Skills:
<ul>
<li> 3+ years Business Analyst Experience</li>
<li> Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.</li>
<li> Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels</li>
<li> Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs into user stories</li>
<li> Ability to test user stories against acceptance criteria</li>
<li> Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members</li>
<li> Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively</li>
