Alpha Omega is seeking a highly skilled Sr .Net Developer for a Remote position on one of our prime Federal projects in Arlington, VA.

Ideal candidate has previous experience working with federal and large commercial clients, financial, insurance and banking with a strong emphasis on user experience, usability, client interaction, customer satisfaction, and a clear understanding of new and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist with the design and implementation of technical solutions to meet the needs of the organization, including buy-in from multiple stakeholders and the technical team.</li>
<li>Guiding team development efforts towards successful project delivery.</li>
<li>Maintaining high standards of software quality within the team.</li>
<li>Ensuring smooth functioning of technical operations.</li>
<li>Managing development team, technical approach, and software delivery performance.</li>
<li>Identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements to the applications and platforms.</li>
<li>Create and maintain test and production environments.</li>
<li>Participate in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives for the team.</li>
<li>Work with engineers to support product development from inception to release.</li>
<li>Respond to, diagnose, and assist in solving production incidents.</li>
<li>Participate in root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.</li> 
</ul>
Required Qualifications:

Education:
<ul>
<li>BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar degree.</li>
</ul>
Experience/Skills:
<ul>
<li>Federal agency requires US Citizenship.</li>
<li>Ten to fifteen years' experience developing and maintaining large-scale applications.</li>
<li>Familiarity and experience with the following:</li>
<li><ul><li>GitHub, Gits branching, comparing, cut branches, .yml deployment.</li>
<li>.NET (Core and Framework) .NET 8.0 and above.</li>
<li>MVC / Razor / Blazor asp.net (AJAX, CSS, JQUERY, JavaScript)</li>
<li>Developing languages such as C#, VB.net enterprise multi-tiers and Entity framework.</li>
<li>Working with real time applications and their scaling including multi clustering, performance, and caching.</li>
<li>Cloud Foundry, AWS, S3 packet, multi-instance.</li>
<li>Working with SQL Server, MYSQL , EDW (mainframe) development using complex SQL scripting.</li>
<li>Developing and maintaining API applications using Core (REST) (POST, GET).</li>
<li>Working on testing tools such as Postman, SOAPUI.</li>
<li>Understanding Classic VB / ASP code and relating it to .NET.</li>
</ul></li><li>Knowledge in implementing and managing DevOps tools.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with ability to work well within the team, collaborate with product owners, as well as other stakeholders.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Worked in an agile environment as part of an agile team.</li></ul> 


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $114,441- $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Provide development, maintenance, and Azure migration support for a large, enterprise-grade, mission-critical .NET Framework 4.8 codebase that uses WPF for desktop UI, Entity Framework for ORM, WCF for service communication, ASP.NET MVC for web components, and a rich set of libraries for dependency injection, logging, testing, serialization, and reporting, plus Enterprise Library, WCF, ADFS, and other advanced .NET features.</li>
