OVERVIEWThe Bodily Injury Claims Adjusters primary focus will be to provide service to our customers through proactive communication, verification of coverage, establishing liability through investigation, evaluation of all damages and payment of only what is owed to protect the interests of the customer as provided within their assigned auto policy. The Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster must also comply with Texas Department of Insurance Guidelines and remain in compliance, providing documentation through each step of the claims process.Additionally, the Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster will communicate information to their Supervisor and other key members of the claims or underwriting management team as required and/or on claims files that have unusual circumstances and/or excess exposure potential.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&middot; Provide customer service to our policyholders and those who may become our policyholders that exceed their expectations and delivers on the Alpine Rio promise, communicating and guiding them through the claims process.&middot; Assure coverage for each loss and all policy provisions before processing payments.&middot; Investigate all aspects of the claim to determine liability percentage and legal responsibility&middot; Identify and evaluate claims indicators of fraud and refer to SIU Team Representatives&middot; Utilize all claims tools provided to properly evaluate liability and extent of damages&middot; Evaluate damages in accordance with investigative findings and establish value to pay only what is owed&middot; Negotiate claims settlements for evaluated damages with insureds, claimants and/or attorneys as assigned&middot; Authorize negotiated payment for established damages and/or Loss Adjustment Expenses within your designated authority.&middot; Submit requests for authority on evaluations that exceed your personal, assigned authority&middot; Ensure all compliance requirements are met in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with guidelines&middot; Adjust reserves adequately on all new and existing claims&middot; Participate as an active member of the claims committee as required&middot; Communicate findings to claims management team as required or as may be needed depending on high exposure or unusual loss findings.&middot; Communicate with Underwriting findings that may require a review of the policy for additional premium, coverage adjustment or potential cancellation based on Underwriting Guidelines.&middot; Perform Other Duties as may be assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS&middot; Outstanding customer service and professional communication skills, both oral and written.&middot; Current Texas Property Casualty Adjuster License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment&middot; Documented, minimum three years of highly successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience&middot; Understanding and ability to execute and comply with Texas Department of Insurance Guidelines and Requirements as established in the Insurance Code&middot; Exceptional negotiating skills&middot; Proficient computer skills with ability to function in all Microsoft Office Programs&middot; Highly organized&middot; Ability to multi-task and prioritize successfully in a fast paced, high volume environment&middot; Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement&middot; Non-Standard Claims Handling Experience preferred&middot; Bilingual (English/Spanish) desiredALPINE RIO INSURANCE SERVICES, LLC F/K/A ASPEN MGAAlpine Rio is a personal lines Managing General Agency that stresses the utilization of technology in its platform.
