 Could you be the full-time Project Customs and Transportation Leader in Cairo Egypt we&rsquo;re looking for?
 
 
 
 
 Your future role
 
 
 
 Take on a new challenge and apply your logistics and transportation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You&rsquo;ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
 
 
 You'll ensure the seamless execution of customs and transportation activities, optimizing site operations and shipments while maintaining compliance with processes and regulations. Day-to-day, you&rsquo;ll work closely with teams across the business (Global Transportation team, Indirect Procurement, Site logistics teams), lead governance with transportation service providers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
 
 
 You&rsquo;ll specifically take care of planning and executing transportation and logistics flows, including customs activities, but also managing relationships with key strategic providers and supporting strategic programs and projects.
 
 
 
 We&rsquo;ll look to you for:
 
 
 
 Documenting and maintaining the site transportation plan, ensuring alignment with global strategies
 
 
 Ensuring material readiness for dispatch and monitoring shipment statuses
 
 
 Managing compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for imports and exports
 
 
 Participating in supplier performance and business reviews
 
 
 Driving process improvements and harmonization across sites
 
 
 Analyzing performance data and proposing action plans

 A certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus

 Main responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies :

 Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses and meetings
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure implementation of all standard processes &amp; golden rules in compliance with Logistic Handbook
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure optimization of warehousing, packaging, and physical flow according to Lean Manufacturing and QCDE (Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health &amp; Safety) principles
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure key users are in place to support critical processes and users (training, data corrections, system Key Performance Indicators (KPI))
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the ERP solution (Enterprise Resource Planning solution) is implemented, correctly used and guarantee the master data quality
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (inventory accuracy, cycle counting performance)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the inventory process is in compliance with Alstom standard rules (Delegation of Authority DOA, instruction)
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the deployment of APSYS (Alstom Transport Production System) roadmap by each Team
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Management:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Manage Jobs &amp; Skills, Training &amp; Qualification, Workforce, Staffing &amp; organization, World Class Manufacturing network
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement activity for logistics
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Operational activities:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Ensure that Environment Health &amp; Safety (EHS) rules are respected and promote EHS culture
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure alignment between physical and system flows: no physical movement without system update
 </li>
 <li>
 Warehousing &amp; Logistics: implement and run Logistics standards for physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, picking, line feeding, inventory, and shipping)
 </li>
 <li>
 Optimize warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure optimization of transportation flow &amp; cost
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage C-Class* activity according to Alstom standard rules (C-Class is the outsourcing of the small parts management)
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote recycling activities: bin management and returnable packaging
 </li>
 <li>
 C Class is the outsourcing of the management of the small parts
 
 
 </li>
