About the Role
The Research Laboratory Technician provides supervisory functions relating to the Quality Assurance and Regulatory activities of the Clinical Safety Laboratory as well as the operational oversight of the Clinical Safety &amp; Cell Isolation Laboratory functions including but not limited to, sample analysis, documentation and record keeping as well as equipment maintenance and identifying potential safety hazards. This Research Laboratory Technician position is part of the Clinical Diagnostics &amp; Central Laboratory Department which encompasses both the Clinical Safety Laboratory as well as the Cell Isolation and Cryopreservation Laboratory.
What You'll Do Here
Clinical Safety Laboratory:
<ul><li>Performs tests authorized by the Laboratory Operations Director commensurate with the individual's training, experience, and technical abilities.
</li></ul>Cell Isolation and Cryopreservation:
<ul><li>Performs multiple methods of cell isolation, stains, cell counts.
</li><li>Performs cryopreservation of isolated cells.
</li></ul>Sample Analysis:
<ul><li>Receives and prepares clinical lab specimens and accession them into LIMS.
</li><li>Performs clinical tests on biological samples according to established protocols in compliance with CAP/CLIA guidelines.
</li><li>Performs all tasks associated with lab testing including but not limited to restocking supplies, inventory/ordering, filing results, etc.
</li></ul>Documentation and Record Keeping:
<ul><li>Maintains detailed and organized records of all laboratory procedures and results.
</li><li>Compliant with regulatory standards and company policies.
</li><li>Documents any deviations from established protocols and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
</li></ul>Equipment Maintenance:
<ul><li>Responsible for verifying proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment prior to use.
</li><li>Collaborates with the laboratory management to identify and address equipment issues promptly.
</li></ul>Quality Assurance:
<ul><li>Adheres to strict quality control measures to maintain data integrity.
</li><li>Participates in quality assurance activities, e.g., proficiency testing.
</li><li>Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency/accuracy of lab operations.
</li></ul>Communication and Collaboration:
<ul><li>Works closely with fellow laboratory technicians, scientists, clinical team, and study/project managers to ensure seamless workflow.
</li><li>Communicates effectively with other departments to provide updates on sample processing and results.
</li></ul>Safety Protocols:
<ul><li>Adheres to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
</li><li>Proactively identifies and reports any potential safety hazards.
</li></ul>What You'll Need to Succeed
<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or higher in a field related to health science preferred.
</li><li>Leadership Requirements
</li><li>Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and logical reasoning.
</li><li>Promotes a positive, team-orientated, interaction between departments.
</li><li>Positive role model; exhibits confidence in self and others.
</li><li>Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
</li><li>2 years&rsquo; experience in clinical research or equivalent by experience and training preferred.
</li><li>1+ years of Quality Assurance or Regulatory work experience preferred.
</li><li>Possess a basic understanding of the drug development process, clinical trial management, clinical monitoring, FDA regulations, and ICH Guidelines

About the Role
The Animal Care Technician I shall be responsible for the coordination, movement, and maintenance of facility equipment and supplies. Participate in sanitation through the central cage wash/ In-life and perform monthly environmental tasks for the facility. Provides basic husbandry services or perform tasks involved in the care, maintenance, and welfare of animals (e.g. mice, rats, rabbits, dogs, swine, non-human primates). Please note that this position is a night shift (Generally 9pm-7am)
What You'll Do Here
<ul><li>Completes training focused on general core skills for the area of work.
</li><li>Comply with the appropriate safety and study requirements as described in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and regulatory authorities including but not limited to ALCOA+, USDA, AAALAC, and governmental regulations.
</li><li>Comply with appropriate safety and health practices including personal protective equipment and barrier requirements, as applicable.
</li><li>Handle, restrain, and manipulate animals consistently, professionally, and with empathy.
</li><li>Recognize animal behavior, health status and report to appropriate channels.
</li><li>Perform animal husbandry (cleaning, feed, sanitation, enrichment, etc.) on a regular basis.
</li><li>Operate, maintain, and perform equipment tasks (e.g. cage washers, autoclave, cage movement) on a regular basis.
</li><li>Observe and report any aberrations in animal room environments (room temperature, humidity, lighting, ventilation, vermin, etc.).
</li><li>Perform general facility cleaning, stocking, and inventory.
</li><li>Receive, and distribute animals for isolation, study assignment or consolidation.
</li><li>Meets acceptable data standards according to the data quality performance standards. Work is done with integrity and can be relied upon. Checks data upon completion. Deviations, edits, etc. are done in a timely manner.
</li><li>Acts as support group for other departments (e.g., moving animals from building to building, cage changes, bringing animals to necropsy, etc.).
</li><li>Participates in a weekend and evening rotations, as needed.
</li></ul>What You'll Need to Succeed
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
</li><li>This is an entry level position and previous animal experience would be beneficial.
</li><li>AALAS certification preferred.
</li><li>Basic computer skills.
</li><li>Ability to effectively comprehend and communicate (verbal and written) in a professional manner.
</li><li>Basic math skills.
</li><li>Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude toward work and co-workers.
</li></ul>What We Offer
The hourly range estimated for this position is $19.00 - $27.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
