<div>Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely reporting for a manufacturing facility. This role supports month-end close, cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, financial analysis, and compliance with GAAP. The Senior Accountant works closely with operations, purchasing, production, and leadership to support profitability and sound financial decision-making. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
General Ledger &amp; Financial Reporting</li><li>
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.</li><li>
Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper account coding.</li><li>
Perform monthly account reconciliations (bank, AP/AR, prepaid expenses, accruals, etc.).</li><li>
Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>
Support internal reporting packages for management and ownership.</li></ul> 
MANUFACTURING &amp; COST ACCOUNTING:<ul><li>
Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).</li><li>
Analyze standard costs, variances, and production performance.</li><li>
Review labor and overhead allocations to ensure accurate costing.</li><li>
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory accuracy processes.</li><li>
Work with operations leadership to improve cost visibility and reporting.</li><li>
Accounts Payable / Receivable Support</li><li>
Assist with AP and AR oversight, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.</li><li>
Review vendor invoices for proper coding and approvals.</li><li>
Support collections and customer billing processes as needed.</li></ul> 
FIXED ASSETS:<ul><li>
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.</li><li>
Track capital projects, asset additions, disposals, and transfers.</li><li>
Month-End and Year-End Close</li><li>
Lead and support month-end close processes and timelines.</li><li>
Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.</li><li>
Coordinate with external CPA firms and auditors.</li></ul> 
COMPLIANCE &amp; INTERNAL CONTROLS:<ul><li>
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.</li><li>
Assist with sales/use tax reporting, excise tax, and other compliance needs (as applicable).</li><li>
Support development and enforcement of internal controls and financial procedures.</li></ul> 
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:<ul><li>
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting and reporting processes.</li><li>
Support ERP system reporting, data integrity, and process improvements.</li><li>
Participate in cross-functional projects related to operations and finance.</li></ul> 
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred).</li><li>
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.</li><li>
Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.</li><li>
Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>

Work performed primarily in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.</li><li>
Occasional time spent on the production floor to verify inventory, equipment, and processes.</li><li>
Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.</li><li>
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs (files, inventory documents, etc.).</li></ul></div>
