Summary: 
The Industrial Engineer &ndash; Assembly is responsible for optimizing assembly line performance through process analysis, labor management, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting product launches truck Assembly Plant.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Conduct time studies, line balancing, and workstation design to improve assembly flow.</li>
<li>Analyze and manage direct and indirect labor to meet production targets.</li>
<li>Support process changes, model launches, and engineering updates.</li>
<li>Apply lean manufacturing and ergonomic principles to eliminate waste and enhance safety.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to solve process issues.</li>
<li>Track key metrics such as cycle time, downtime, and throughput, and drive corrective actions.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.</li>
<li>3-5yrs of industry experience needed.</li>
<li>Proficiency in time study methods (MODAPTS preferred).</li>

Job Description
<ul>
<li>The Controls Project Lead (CPL) is responsible for ensuring a successful launch of new programs and kitted systems with regards to Controls, Networks and Robotics found within the CLIENT Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE) environment.</li>
<li>Participation and support in the development and implementation of Vehicle Process Engineering Controls, Automation, Robotics and Engineering (VPE CARE) standards and specifications during the design through the launch phase of new products are fundamental to this position.</li>
<li>This is accomplished through the direct leadership of a multi-departmental team of individuals, all with unique skill sets associated with their assigned roles. The scope of this team will span the core functions of VPE CARE in Paint.</li>
<li>The CPL is responsible for the development and delivery of their team's applications, while leading the way in shaping the culture and craft of their respective team.</li>
<li>The CPL position is also tasked with conducting regular team meetings to review progress and identify potential obstacles, monitoring projects to meet their technical and business objectives, review of lessons learned, solutions to current and past issues, tracking and updating action registers and coordinating work schedules.</li>
<li>The CPL is also expected to continuously work towards the development of advanced training and standard processes.</li>
<li>Supervising and managing controls and robotics integration</li>
<li>Managing and maintaining open controls &amp; robotics issues pertaining to the designated areas</li>

<li>RFID</li>
<li>Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV)</li>

Support VPE CARE program goals during launch to include, but not limited to:

<li>Ensuring that build and process is following CLIENT standards</li>
<li>Leading/Supporting Controls Coordinators, Launch Engineers, and Robot Specialists in this task</li>
<li>Represent VPE CARE on the project Controls Committee and/or subcommittees</li>
<li>Support CLIENT process at plant on controls and robot projects</li>

<li>Cycle time improvements</li>

<li>Provide any VPE CARE related reports</li>

VPE Care Lead for Line Integrators
<ul>
<li>Chair weekly meeting between Line Integrators, subcontractors and VPE teams (as required) on responsible areas</li>
<li>Attend process bid review meetings and provide technical evaluation of Line Integrator bids</li>
<li>Assist the Line Integrator engineering and execution staff with understanding the controls, network architecture, robotics, CIB, VPE CARE/ICT systems and auxiliary equipment utilized for the program</li>
<li>Verify each new CLIENT PWS and/or Line Integrator supplied programming device (Laptop) has proper programming software, revisions and that the Line Integrator's software descriptors, symbols and comments for logic are present.</li>

Basic Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or HSD with 5+ years of experience in a related field</li>
<li>Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills</li>
<li>Problem solving skills specific to Controls systems</li>
<li>Experience supervising or leading a team of technicians and engineers</li>
<li>Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral</li>

The Vehicle Process Engineering General Assembly Conveyor Specialist will lead conveyor projects in design, construction, installation, and commissioning for new model launches in North America. The role of this specialist is to drive continuous improvements to standards of conveyor design and installation while meeting cost and timing requirements of the program.

Description:

The Controls Specialist will be responsible for researching, developing and implementing VPE CARE standards and specifications. The Controls Specialist will lead &amp; support the development of these specifications. Additionally, the specialist will be required to present and educate others regarding technical innovations and specification roll-out.

The Controls Specialist will also support production and launch events as a technical expert in all applicable controls applications. Additionally, the scope of this work will span the core functions of VPE CARE in Paint. They will be the liaison between VPE CARE, Integrators, ICT and Plant management team members.
