Job Description 
As a HVAC Engineer , you will join Derby/ Warrington/ Manchester team to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector sector.
You will support the technical delivery of HVAC system design solutions that provide tempered and conditioned air to Reactor Island facilities, alongside systems that safely extract and treat contaminated air prior to atmospheric discharge. You will contribute across concept and detailed design phases, ensuring that ventilation and cooling solutions meet nuclear safety, performance, and legislative requirements.
You will work closely with system leads and multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated HVAC and chilled water solutions for safety-critical nuclear environments.<ul><li>

On Site: 2 days in one of the sites</li><li>
Clearance: BPSS</li><li>
Experience Level: 3- 10 YOE</li></ul>
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Support delivery of HVAC system design solutions for nuclear facilities</li><li>
Produce and check technical deliverables for nuclear ventilation and air conditioning systems</li><li>
Develop systems providing particulate abatement prior to discharge to atmosphere</li><li>
Design air conditioning and cooling systems for temperature-controlled environments</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure system integration and performance</li><li>
Produce HVAC design deliverables through Concept and Detailed Design phases</li><li>
Generate technical reports, calculations, and drawings supporting system design</li><li>
Act as an HVAC subject matter expert during supplier and stakeholder engagement</li><li>
Present design maturity and technical solutions at design reviews</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Required Skills:
<ul><li>Knowledge of systems engineering principles applied to HVAC systems</li><li>
Experience developing HVAC designs from concept through detailed definition</li><li>
Ability to perform trade-off studies to achieve optimal design solutions</li><li>
Experience writing and checking HVAC technical documentation</li><li>
Strong collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary engineering teams</li><li>
Ability to plan work, manage time, and escalate technical risks appropriately</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.</li></ul>
Desirable Skills:
<ul><li>Experience in nuclear or other safety-critical industries</li><li>
Familiarity with verification and validation techniques</li><li>
Experience working within regulated engineering environments</li></ul>

HVAC Engineer - Nuclear

 Position Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Participates in program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads and works with Test Project Management, Design Engineering, and Program IE to develop and maintain integrated build plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates with fabrication personnel and lead coordination with procurement/supplier management personnel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works across groups to coordinate and track part status and shipping with supplier management and MMO.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops and documents BT&amp;E ME process and tools for Flight test programs, new job practices, techniques and standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages the program work statement making sure it meets cost and schedule requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Helps develop schedule to align with integrated build plan, program needs, and fabrication capabilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works under minimal direction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads the creation of training material and tutorials for Design &amp; Planning ME team.
 </li>
