Salary Exempt - 7 day, 12-hour (United States of America) The Regional Technical Leader is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the technical and maintenance team resources across multiple sites. This role is responsible for growth enablement, business retention, and eliminating losses by building maintenance and technical capability in the regions. This will be done by continuously improving and delivering training to operators and maintenance personnel on production equipment from introductory level to advanced level as designed in the Blow Mold Operator and Maintenance training programs. 
 
The Regional Technical Leader ensures the effective operation of all blow molding equipment, including but not limited to Uniloy, Bekum, Rocheleau, and others by taking ownership, finding solutions, overcoming obstacles, and delivering results with integrity and accountability. This position involves being actively engaged in the plants, coaching, developing, and supporting maintenance teams to achieve sustainable results. A dynamic, hands-on operations leader is sought to drive performance and cultivate a technically capable team. This is not a &ldquo;sit behind the desk&rdquo; role; rather, it demands active involvement in the field to deliver meaningful operational improvements.
Compliance &amp; Safety:<ul><li>
Ensure adherence to safety standards, proper use of PPE, and compliance with environmental regulations.</li></ul>
Team Development:<ul><li>
Build and maintain a technically capable maintenance team by recruiting, training, and developing staff to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.</li><li>
Ability to do hands-on training and capability building 1:1 or in small groups on the floor.</li></ul>
Operational Excellence:<ul><li>
Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues and drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes.</li><li>
Ability to be hands-on and help execute within the sites to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.</li><li>
Knowledge of troubleshooting/problem-solving/root cause analysis techniques. Knowledge of how to sustain improvements through processes.</li></ul>
Training Programs:<ul><li>
Facilitate and deliver training classes for Operators and Maintenance personnel on how to troubleshoot and properly maintain their equipment. This includes all asset types within each plant.</li><li>
Diverse knowledge of multiple asset types (BMM types; downstream and upstream equipment like blenders, grinders, vacuum pumps, cooling beds, trimmers, leak testers, vision systems, baggers, and support equipment like chillers and air compressors) will be highly regarded.</li></ul>
Budget Management:<ul><li>
Assist with maintenance budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while minimizing costs. Partner with leadership to review budgetary constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities.</li></ul>
Vendor Relations:<ul><li>
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the organization.</li></ul>
Regulatory Compliance:<ul><li>
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and align with the Altium guiding principles. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.</li></ul>
Emergency Response:<ul><li>
Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures and other critical incidents. Coordinate with plant managers and other stakeholders to ensure swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations.</li></ul>
Documentation &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and inspection reports. Generate regular reports for management review.</li></ul><ul><li>
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.</li></ul>
Required:<ul><li>
Frequent travel (up to 100%) to designated locations across the region.</li><li>
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, move around the production floor, and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.</li><li>
6 to 10 years&rsquo; experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing environment with in-depth knowledge of hydraulic electrical equipment.</li><li>
5 to 10 years&rsquo; experience working in the maintenance field.</li><li>
Strong leadership skills with the ability to assess situations and make appropriate decisions.</li><li>
Ability to analyze team members' skills, recognize strengths and areas for development.</li><li>
Professionalism and dedication to excellence in customer care.</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience</li><li>
Basic computer skills required.</li><li>

We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in Bessemer. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, performing repairs, installations and maintenance on plant equipment, production machinery, blow mold equipment and facility.
Responsibilities Include:<ul><li>
Maintain blow mold/injection mold machines, baggers &amp; other related equipment in optimal processing condition</li><li>
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits</li><li>
Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment</li><li>
Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes</li><li>
Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses</li><li>
Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps</li><li>
Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment</li><li>
Program and troubleshoot PLC systems</li><li>
Perform welding &amp; fabrication as needed</li><li>
Solicit information and feedback from other departments toward repair and the efficient operation of machines</li><li>
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies</li></ul>
REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
2+ years&rsquo; machine maintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry</li><li>
2+ years&rsquo; experience as a machine operator</li><li>
2+ years&rsquo; experience with blow mold machines</li><li>
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)</li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required</li><li>
Basic math and computer skills</li><li>
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals</li><li>
Ability to work overtime</li><li>
Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time</li><li>
