SUMMARY
Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production molding and assembly machinery and auxiliary equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Repair and preventive maintenance of all operating equipment, fix equipment and support equipment as assigned</li><li>
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, robotics and/or program issues with molding and lining machines, and all support equipment; perform appropriate maintenance and/or repairs</li><li>
Read electrical and hydraulic print to perform required maintenance and service</li><li>
Understand PLC, RS Logic, and robotics to test equipment and/or make adjustments</li><li>
Perform daily PM&rsquo;s and maintain the proper paperwork</li><li>
Diagnose issues and provide solutions and ways to improve machines</li><li>
Troubleshoot and repair anything else that comes up, even if not listed above (jack of all trades)</li><li>
Install machines electrical, plumbing and interface with all other systems.</li><li>
Work with other technicians, engineering and manufacturing to continuous operations</li><li>
Provide general facilities maintenance</li><li>
Comply with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles - Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices</li><li>

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 2+ years experience working in maintenance for a manufacturing company</li><li>

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>

Maintenance Technician

Purpose

Utility Operator

Manages the inspection and release of incoming materials (color, resin, material, liners) and COA/COC process.

Schedule: 6:00 pm - 6:15 am. 12 hour shifts, rotating days, 36 48 schedule.
Pay: The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be between $18.75; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job related-knowledge, skills, and experience between $18.75 and $21.00 per hour.

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.</li><li>

About the Role
As a Molding Technician, you set up, operate, and maintain molding equipment while ensuring molds are clean, properly installed, and fully functional. You troubleshoot basic mold issues, confirm that all utility hookups are correct, and keep your work area organized. You also assist with repairs, test molds, and record all maintenance performed.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Operate molding presses and open/close molds for production needs and repairs.</li><li>
Set, pull, clean, and inspect molds to ensure proper installation, completeness, and readiness for production.</li><li>
Troubleshoot basic mold‑related issues and verify correct nozzle length, carriage settings, clamp stops, and safety features.</li><li>
Confirm that all electrical, water, and air hookups are functioning properly and free of leaks; test molds for electrical, water, and air performance before release.</li><li>
Clean, check, wire, and maintain mold heaters and mold components as needed.</li><li>
Maintain accurate mold maintenance records, documenting dates, work completed, and responsible personnel.</li><li>
Keep molding machine areas and shop workspaces clean, organized, and safe.</li><li>
Assist Tool Room staff with mold and equipment repairs and report damaged molds or supply needs to Tooling leadership.</li><li>
Green‑tag molds that meet production‑ready standards and complete inspections as required.</li><li>
Follow all safety procedures and shut down equipment immediately when hazards to personnel or property are present.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
High school diploma/GED equivalent and a valid driver&rsquo;s license required</li><li>
Previous experience working in a technically challenging environment required, including identification, selection, and utilization of the correct tool for a given task (hand, power, standard shop tools)</li><li>
Previous experience in injection molding strongly preferred, with the ability to accurately identify mold components, understand relevant terminology, and apply conceptual knowledge to practical processes</li><li>
Must provide own basic hand tools</li><li>
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to remain logical in ambiguous, fast-paced, and high-pressure situations</li><li>
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal), with the ability to understand and follow instructions in English</li><li>
Demonstrated accuracy using basic instruments to record precision measurements (micrometers, calipers, and gauges)</li><li>
Demonstrated proficiency applying basic mathematical concepts (adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying) to calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals</li><li>
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high level of, dependability, adaptability, integrity, and intrinsic motivation</li><li>
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with others as part of a team</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat throughout an 8-hour shift</li><li>
Must have good manual dexterity</li><li>
20/20 vision (with correction) and the ability to differentiate color</li><li>
