Role Summary
The VP, Relationship Director and Investment Specialist is a key representative for Avantis Investors. This role combines strategic relationship management with investment expertise to grow assets and deepen partnerships with fee-based RIAs.
This remote position will be based in Texas.

How You Will Make an Impact
<ul><li>Serve as the &ldquo;face&rdquo; of Avantis Investors to the external marketplace of Southern Florida. Understand Avantis Investors&rsquo; highly differentiated investment process and philosophy as well as American Century&rsquo;s distinctive story, including its mission-driven purpose, unique private ownership structure and broadly diversified investment capabilities
</li><li>Grow assets under management, most specifically with fee-based RIA&rsquo;s. Collaborate with internal partners to identify and pursue sales opportunities
</li><li>Contribute to the development and refinement of a strategic distribution strategy, cultivate relationships and build active pipeline with fee-based advisors nationally
</li><li>Influence the creation of a consultative, solutions-based sales approach and a consistent and systematic approach for how Avantis strategically identifies, prospects and engages potential partners
</li><li>Partner closely with product development, marketing, and investments to ensure competitive positioning across key client and product opportunities
</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team (Required)
<ul><li>A minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience selling to sophisticated, fee-based RIA&rsquo;s, must have direct experience and relationships with RIA&rsquo;s
</li><li>Ability to have sophisticated conversations with clients pertaining to portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management. Broad-based understanding of general portfolio behavior and capital markets
</li><li>Ability to represent Avantis Investors&rsquo; differentiated investment philosophy and process in a highly consultative and compelling manner
</li><li>Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity and hands-on responsibilities
</li><li>Embraces a collaborative, team-based sales culture with a proactive mindset, taking initiative, making principled decisions, and driving results through partnership and accountability
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree; FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or equivalent as required by state, or ability to attain licenses in a short-term frame
</li><li>Travel to client and industry events is required
</li><li>Demonstrate the American Century Investments Winning Behaviors: Client Focused, Courageous and Accountable, Collaborative, Curious and Adaptable, Competitively Driven.
</li></ul>Additional Assets (Preferred)
<ul><li>Knowledge of ETF platforms, key decision makers, products and philosophies is highly desirable
 </li><li>Graduate degree (MBA) and/or a related professional designation (CFA, CAIA) is preferred
