A&amp;M Compost is one of the largest and most cutting-edge indoor composting facilities in the country. We compost biosolids (sludge) from municipal wastewater treatment plants and produce a rich, organic compost suitable for a wide variety of landscaping and soil enhancement applications. Unlike our competitors, all composting is performed inside state-of-the-art buildings equipped with environmental control systems. These structures include leachate management and biological odor control systems. This process enables composting to be accomplished in a manner that minimizes any effect on our environment.

Located in Manheim, PA, we are currently searching for a Heavy-Duty Yellow Equipment and Diesel Mechanic!
What You Will Do:<ul><li>
Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications.</li><li>
Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.</li><li>
Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.</li><li>
Adhere to manufacturer&rsquo;s warranty policies and procedures.</li><li>
Capability to independently analyze and safely resolve problems</li><li>
Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units</li>
Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

</li></ul>You Have:<ul><li>
Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience.
</li><li>At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience working on yellow equipment and diesel engines.
</li><li>Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.</li><li>
Ability to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.</li><li>
Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.</li><li>
Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software</li><li>
A valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.</li></ul>
