The <b>Proposal Writer</b> will be responsible for developing and managing high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to RFQs, RFPs, and SOQs for heavy civil construction projects. This role requires excellent communication and writing skills, a firm understanding of civil construction processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.</p><p></p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Review and interpret RFP/RFQ documents to develop compliant, client-focused responses.</p></li><li><p>
Write, edit, and organize proposal content including executive summaries, approach narratives, project descriptions, resumes, safety records, and organizational charts.</p></li><li><p>
Coordinate with estimating, operations, engineering, and business development teams to gather technical content and ensure proposal accuracy.</p></li><li><p>
Manage multiple deadlines, proposal schedules, and submission requirements.</p></li><li><p>
Maintain and update a library of boilerplate content, resumes, and project write-ups.</p></li><li><p>
Assist in developing presentations and marketing collateral as needed.</p></li><li><p>
Ensure all submissions align with client requirements and company branding.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, English, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>
2&ndash;5 years of experience writing proposals in the heavy civil, construction, or AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.</p></li><li><p>
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with public agency procurement processes (e.g., DOTs, municipalities, transit authorities).</p></li><li><p>
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Preferred Skills:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Experience preparing proposals for design-bid-build, design-build, progressive design-build, and CM/GC projects.</p></li><li><p>
Understanding of construction documents including schedules, cost estimates, and work plans.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to manage input from multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.</p></li></ul><p>

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the project team to the overall successful completion of a specific project. These responsibilities include a level of engagement and ownership in the areas of scheduling, financial forecasting, and operational planning and execution, while also helping to mitigate risk, all in support of field operations.</div><div></div><div>
Essential Functions</div><ul><li>
Contract management functions: Reviews design, contract and bid documents, bid analysis, reviews subcontracts and material contracts, permit processing</li><li>
Communication functions: Conducts regular meetings with clients, subcontractors, vendors and key stakeholders to ensure clarity under the supervision of the Project Manager</li><li>
Financial Management functions: Oversees project budget, maintains budgets and makes changes accordingly, monitors performance and analysis of cost and budget, shares information collaboratively with operations team</li><li>
Operational Planning and Execution functions: Provides technical support to operations team, constructability reviews, offers technical information to the project team to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications, assists in pre-planning functions of the project</li><li>
Scheduling functions: Oversees construction progress and schedule, collaborates with operations, subcontractors, vendors and clients to ensure clarity of overall project progress</li><li>
Leadership functions: Delegates applicable tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and capabilities</li><li>
Compliance functions: Assists with inspection and documentation of all work to assure compliance with plans, specifications and applicable regulations</li></ul><div></div><div>
Qualifications</div><ul><li>
A minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in construction or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management</li><li>
Strong communication skills both written and oral</li><li>
Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivations skills</li><li>
Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial</li><li>
Possess high attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies</li><li>
Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Applications and Outlook</li><li>
Knowledgeable in Primavera preferred</li><li>
Must have a valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li></ul><div></div><div>
Working Conditions</div><ul><li>
Location &ndash; This position will work out of our Utah Office. This project is located in Farmington, New Mexico. Subsequent projects will be nationally based.</li><li>
Travel &ndash; This role will be expected to travel to project locations and regional offices of the time.</li><li>
Office environment &ndash; extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.</li><li>
Construction site environment &ndash; physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.</li></ul><div>
