The Position: 
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Integration Test Engineer-Journeyman. The salary range of this position is $95,300.00 - $139,900.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Systems Integration Test Engineer-Journeyman may include:
 
<ul>
<li>Supports the operation, integration and testing of Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Technical Baseline (JTB) systems used for distributed mission training</li>
<li>Monitors system health, reviews ongoing issues and coordinates with government/contractor teams to support scheduled training events and integration activities</li>
<li>Installs and configures software/hardware components, troubleshoots connectivity and interoperability issues across long-haul WAN networks, executes test procedures, analyzes system performance and documents results</li>
<li>Works closely with software developers, network engineers and operational users to diagnose and resolve technical issues, validate new system releases and ensure all JTB components are operating reliably in both local and distributed training environments</li>
<li>Develops test documentation, records discrepancies, supports problem resolution efforts and contributes to the continuous improvement of JSE training capabilities</li>
</ul>
Must-haves: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or STEM related discipline</li>
<li>3 years of relevant work experience</li>
<li>3 years of experience supporting systems integration, test engineering or network engineering</li>
<li>Experience developing and executing system integration and test plans</li>
<li>Experience troubleshooting complex software, hardware and networked systems</li>
<li>Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and WAN architectures</li>
<li>Experience creating technical documentation, test reports and engineering assessments</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>The ability to work independently in a dynamic operational environment</li>
<li>AMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance</li>
</ul>
Desired Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) or distributed simulation/training systems</li>
<li>Knowledge of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA) or other simulation interoperability standards</li>
<li>Experience with network analysis and troubleshooting tools (Ex. Wireshark)</li>
<li>Experience supporting military training systems, distributed mission operations or test and evaluation activities</li>
<li>Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating environments</li>
<li>Experience using Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence</li>
</ul>

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site. On rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

A typical day as a Missions Systems Specialist-Journeyman may include:

<li>Supports distributed simulation integration and training operations</li>
<li>Collaborates with government personnel, engineers, operators and other simulation experts to configure and troubleshoot NGTS systems, develop/modify threat behavior files/training scenarios and support ongoing test and integration activities</li>
<li>Participates in technical planning meetings, executes verification and validation efforts, analyzes simulation performance, documents test results and resolves issues impacting training events</li>
<li>Supports JSE Technical Baseline (JTB) releases, provides recommendations to improve distributed training capabilities and ensures NGTS systems are operationally ready to support mission-focused exercises/customer demonstrations</li>
<li>Interacts regularly with cross-functional teams to support successful integration of NGTS within DMON, JSE and Live-Virtual-Constructive training environments</li>
</ul>
Must-haves: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analysis, System Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Physics or STEM related discipline</li>
<li>3 years of relevant work experience</li>
<li>3 years of direct NGTS experience</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with scenario development, threat modeling and simulation operations</li>
<li>Experience supporting DoD training systems, operational test environments or distributed simulation architectures</li>
<li>Strong understanding of military air operations, threat systems and training objectives</li>
<li>Experience supporting integration, test and evaluation activities</li>
<li>The ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across software, network and simulation environments</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>AMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance-The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance</li>
</ul>
Desired Skills: 
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)</li>
