Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Provides direct or indirect, quality patient care under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel to patients from pediatrics to geriatric populations in the hospital setting</li>
<li>Offers personal care such as bathing, skin care, turning and positioning, and toileting needs.
</li><li>Assists patients with meals, ambulation and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
</li><li>Obtains and documents vital signs and reports abnormal results to the patient&rsquo;s nurse.
</li><li>Measures and records intake, output, height and weight.</li>
<li>Participates in hourly rounds on patients, assessing pain, positioning, potty (toileting needs), placement of personal items and call light within reach, and VTE prophylaxis in place.</li>
<li>Communicates learning needs to charge nurse or nurse manager.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Nursing Assistant:
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required
</li><li>Previous experience (preferred)</li>
</ul>
Patient Care Technician (PCT):
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>
<li>Completion of approved Nursing Assistant training course required</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>RN students may be eligible to be considered for Student Nurse Technician opportunities. Students must be able to provide a copy of their college transcript showing successful completion of class requirements.</li></ul>
