<div>Position Summary:
The Welding Supervisor oversees the work being carried out and makes sure production targets are met. Duties include staff management, overseeing staff welfare, and managing the Welding department&rsquo;s Health and Safety protocol. Day to day tasks include Planning work schedules and maintaining an efficient workflow. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers&rsquo; needs are consistently met, promoting our company&rsquo;s continued strong national growth.

Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Drive a culture for clean, well-organized and efficient work environment ensuring 5s and lean principles are sustained throughout department
</li><li>Ensure employees comply with Anchor Fabrication Safety Policies (PPE, Safe Behavior, Proper use of equipment)</li><li>
Own department Quality by implementing process improvement initiatives and seeking out root cause and corrective actions</li><li>
Maintain a quality driven environment that is compliant with all company certifications and specifications
</li><li>Work closely with Weld R&amp;D Manager to ensure WQTR and WPS records are current</li><li>
Have an action-oriented approach, with a sense of urgency and responsiveness in solving issues.</li><li>
Help Maintenance Dept. keep equipment in good working order and current with calibrations</li><li>
Work with Finishing Operations Manager to stay within monthly Plant Expense and Labor budgets</li><li>
Drive schedule adherence, reduce past due hours and stagnant jobs</li><li>
Review program work to meet daily run rates, working with planning adjust if not on track</li><li>
Work with the Material department to ensure full kit hours are maintained</li><li>
Review time entries and manage payroll through HR payroll service</li><li>
Able to work in a team environment respecting the thoughts and ideas of others</li><li>
Work with the department leads to ensure all expectations for monthly revenue, quality, labor, and plant expense and are communicated and on track</li><li>
Work with HR and the Finishing Operations Manager to resolve any employee issues or disciplinary concerns such as attendance, productivity, termination and suspension</li><li>
Manage high email traffic internally and externally.</li><li>
Other duties assigned.
</li></ul>Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>
High school diploma of GED equivalent.</li><li>
5+ years relevant welding experience; experience in the metal industry preferred.</li><li>
5+ years relevant weld quality experience.</li><li>
5+ years' experience managing at least 25 employees.</li><li>
Must be able to read and understand detailed prints.</li><li>
Exhibit strong knowledge of weld characteristics and inspection of welds.</li><li>
Ability to set and weld with Miller welding equipment from gauge material thicknesses to heavy plate.</li><li>
Extensive manufacturing knowledge such as cycle times, process flow, lean manufacturing.</li><li>
Extensive knowledge of health and safety protocols required in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of manufacturing related tools, raw materials and machinery.</li><li>
Ability to analyze jobs, due dates, costs, processes and other inputs and make reasonable decisions to effectively plan for daily scheduling.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in a variety of settings.</li><li>
Experience with completing initiatives as assigned by management.</li><li>
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and jobs simultaneously, capable of prioritizing, identifying problems, and meeting established goals.</li><li>
Demonstrated proficiency with computers and various software packages such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, PowerPoint, Excel) and ERP software.
</li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
Experience with Epicor&rsquo;s Vantage.</li></ul>

This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:<ul><li>
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.</li><li>
Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>
Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
</li><li>Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.</li></ul>
