 About
 
 
 
 The Lead Data Scientist is a technical leadership role focused on applying advanced analytics, machine learning (ML), GenAI, and statistical modeling to solve complex business problems. This role typically involves hands-on development of predictive models, algorithms, and deep data insights, as well as leading a team of data scientists from early model development through to production.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, AI algorithms, and statistical analyses to address business challenges (e.g., predictive analytics, recommendation, hyper-personalization, fraud detection, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance and mentoring on model development, experimentation, and implementation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Business to integrate data science solutions into production systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify relevant datasets, perform data mining, and ensure data quality for modeling purposes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate insights and model outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive business decisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Define project roadmaps&mdash;from ideation and experimentation to production deployment and monitoring&mdash;ensuring alignment with business goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Build robust predictive and prescriptive models (classification, regression, clustering, time-series, GenAI, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Continuously explore, pilot new methods and select proper modeling&mdash;Deep Learning, NLP, GenAI, LLMs, XAI&mdash;and promote best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Describe AI models using Explainable AI.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 7+ years of experience leading projects and teams in data science.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in delivering similar projects in the banking sector.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Python (or R), SQL, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
 </li>
 <li>
 MUST: Experience deploying models in production environments, not only solution development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferred: Master&rsquo;s or Diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in Arabic and English.
 </li>
 </ul>

 9 AM - 5 PM,
 
 
 6 hours overlap with UTC+2
