The Program Manager is a leader in the residential program, ensuring that all respective activities support the children and team in the effective, safe, and therapeutic operation of the residence and campus operations. The goal is to provide quality supports and services to all youth within the program and to ensure the highest quality of care and safety for the children and staff.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Essential Duties:</b></div><div>
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</div><ul><li>
Working closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Residential as well as other program leadership to ensure appropriate day-to-day operations of the residence and residential program overall</li><li>
Act as the primary point of contact for urgent program-related matters, maintaining open availability and responsiveness by phone or in person to support cottage needs at all times. This includes coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to maintain program continuity and youth safety.</li><li>
Understand, reinforce, role-model and consistently use all Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and techniques</li><li>
Always ensure appropriate supervision to all residents and staff to optimize safety</li><li>
Develop and maintain staffing schedules and appropriate staffing ratios</li><li>
Participate actively in all aspects of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of Assistant Program Managers, Direct Support Professionals (DSP&rsquo;s) and other residential staff as needed</li><li>
Consistently monitor staff performance of all staff providing feedback, instruction, support, modeling, and/or corrective action as needed</li><li>
Have advanced knowledge of crisis assessment &amp; intervention, and be available to staff as needed during emergency situations</li><li>
Assist in monitoring budget and spending, including petty cash, to ensure the best use of resources to meet program needs</li><li>
Responsible for assessing the individual needs of each resident, assessing group dynamics and providing therapeutic support to each child or group of children to ensure safe delivery of services as well as structured programming for the residence.</li><li>
Assure that all required documentation remains updated, available and all staff are actively provided with training to ensure accurate information guides treatment.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Clinicians, Behaviorists, Recreation therapists, Trainers, Administrative departments etc. to support the needs of the children and staff</li><li>
Supports overall strategic goals of the organization with the ability to adhere to our organization's core values and commitments, including the Sanctuary Model.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Essential Qualifications:</b></div><div>
Key qualifications include:</div><ul><li>
High School diploma with 3+ years direct support experience w/children or adults with developmental or behavioral disabilities</li><li>
2+ years of administrative/supervisory experience</li><li>
Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>
Must always model professionalism and be able to keep composure during crisis</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical/Travel /Other Requirements</b></div><div>
Must have ability to reach, walk, sit, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 30lbs independently. Valid Driver&rsquo;s License (3+ years) required for transport; license must be maintained in good standing throughout employment.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Must be able to work flexible schedule in partnership with other Program Managers, Assistant Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals to ensure staffing requirements and needs are met. This includes early mornings, late evenings, day shifts, weekends and during times of crisis.</b></div><div></div><div><br>
Must participate in and maintain certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. All staff will be evaluated on conducting a proper physical restraint upon hire and periodically throughout employment. Must maintain CPR/First Aid certifications.</div><div></div><div><br>
Must have ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to agency programs</div><div></div><div><br>

Residential Program Manager

<p></p><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Job Overview of Direct Support Professional Sun-Wed Front End Day-Entry Level-Will Train</b></p><p>
The Direct Care Youth Worker is responsible to maintain a safe, predictable and therapeutic living environment for children in care at Andrus while supporting the agency&rsquo;s mission, vision, core values and treatment philosophy. The provides close supervision, counseling, and support to the children during all cottage-based activities. The Direct Support Professional is responsible to plan and implement individual and group initiatives to build children&rsquo;s skills and self-esteem. The Direct Support Professional ensures that the basic needs of children are met, and that the cottage is maintained in a safe, orderly, predictable, therapeutic, structured and clean condition. The Direct Support Professional works as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes recreation therapists, teachers, social workers and other professionals.</p><p><b>
Schedule Sun-Wed 11:30am until 9:30pm</b></p><p><b>
Essential Duties of Direct Support Professional Sun-Wed Front End Day</b></p><p>
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</p><ul><li>
Assuring the safety of each resident and for the cottage community</li><li>
Actively supervising the residents at all times, based on their age and level, to assure everyone&rsquo;s safety.</li><li>
Supervising the residents by participating with them in scheduled activities</li><li>
Enacting the program schedule as written and on time</li><li>
Using all aspects of Sanctuary in the care s/he provides</li><li>
Using all aspects of trauma sensitive care in the services s/he provides</li><li>
Using all techniques of TCI to prevent triggering, to intervene early to prevent escalation to crisis, for safe management of any crisis that does arise, and for assuring safety and learning after any crisis. This includes becoming skilled in LSIs and conflict resolutions, and conducting them for even minor conflicts, to minimize the occurrence of larger conflicts.</li><li>
Assuring that Safety Plans and ICMPs are in place, available to all staff and actively used to guide treatment.</li><li>
Understanding the importance of and takes responsibility for team work and good communication</li><li>
Planning and enacting smooth transitions from one activity to the next</li><li>
