Anivas Tech is seeking a Data Engineer to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 7+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.</p>
Requirements:
<ul><li> Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support government agency data operations</li><li>
Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and storage solutions using modern cloud and on-premise platforms</li><li>
Collaborate with stakeholders and solution architects to define data requirements and translate them into technical designs</li><li>
Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability by implementing validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks</li><li>
Support integration of disparate data sources, APIs, and third-party systems into a unified data ecosystem</li><li>
Maintain data governance practices including cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management</li><li>
Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance issues in production environments</li><li>
Document technical designs, data flows, and operational runbooks in accordance with project standards</li><li>
Work within Agile/SAFe delivery teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives</li><li>
Apply security best practices to protect sensitive government data in compliance with applicable regulations</li><li>
US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree</li><li>
7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, including pipeline development and data architecture</li><li>
Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Scala, or Java)</li><li>
Experience with data integration tools and platforms (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or equivalent)</li><li>
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native data services</li><li>
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and database design</li><li>
Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Experience working in a government or federal IT environment</li><li>
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements (FISMA, FedRAMP)</li><li>
Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodology experience</li><li>
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data solutions</li><li>
Knowledge of NoSQL databases and real-time streaming architectures</li></ul><p>
