General Education Classroom Teacher 
Position Summary
The position of General Education Classroom Teacher was established for the purpose of providing support for developing students' success in academics, interpersonal skills, developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines: collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students&rsquo; parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

Designs engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and needs.</li><li>
Implements best practices and instructional resources to enhance student learning in alignment with state and district standards.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Collaboration &amp; Relationship Building</h4><ul><li>
Works with all stakeholders (students, parents, colleagues, administration) to establish leadership, positive relationships, and a culture of high expectations.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Student Learning &amp; Assessment</h4><ul><li>
Develops and guides learning in partnership with students, incorporating classroom missions, learning goals, and recognition strategies.</li><li>
Evaluates individual and class performance using assessment data to adjust instruction for continuous improvement.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Classroom Management &amp; Environment</h4><ul><li>
Manages classroom structure, procedures, and behavioral expectations to create a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.</li><li>
Models professional and ethical behavior in alignment with district and state standards.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Professional Responsibilities &amp; Development</h4><ul><li>
Maintains documentation and required data to support student progress and compliance.</li><li>
Actively participates in meetings and professional development to stay informed and improve instructional practices.</li></ul>

Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service and assistance to all employees, fostering a welcoming and approachable atmosphere.</li><li>

Use positive and professional communication in all interactions.</li><li>

Working Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, driving, standing and walking. Working conditions may include extreme temperatures and humidity. Hazards may include exposure to communicable diseases. This position requires one to maintain emotional control under stress.

Work year established by the District; Salary according to schedule adopted annually.
