Position Summary
The Instructional Specialist in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department is responsible for providing high-quality education with associated curriculum development. Instruction and curriculum development will be in the areas of the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Paramedic programs. Responsibilities include instruction in a variety of formats such as simulation, synchronous and asynchronous online education, in-person traditional classroom format, clinical and laboratory education, course planning, curriculum enhancements, learning outcomes, maintaining attendance, posting grades, tutoring, mentoring, and following college procedures. This position will serve as clinical coordinator for EMS students. Duties will include but are not limited to coordinating with clinical sites regarding affiliation agreements, student and instructor clearance process, shift availability, assist other full-time faculty and staff with maintaining compliance with COAEMSP and MIEMSS for student minimum competencies and clinical requirements while utilizing software, spreadsheets, and other tools. The Instructional Specialist for EMS must possess the ability to multitask in teaching and clinical coordination each semester.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional support: Supports educational programming in EMS coursework. Develops curriculum and instructs at all levels of education the department provides to its internal and external customers in support of credit and non-credit programming in emergency medical care. Provides mentoring, tutoring, and advising to current and future students. Coordinates clinical education to integrate across all EMS curricula.
 
 
Program and Administrative Support: Performs daily administrative duties in support of the enhancement and implementation of innovative noncredit, credit, and contract training. Provides support for faculty/staff and administrators in areas of learning outcomes, new strategies, simulation, clinical and course coordination.
 
 
Accreditation Support: Supports State and National mandatory requirements for course/program accreditation: Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS), Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP). 
 
 
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree
 
 
Current Paramedic certification (NREMT)
 
 
Three years of Emergency Medical Services experience.
 
 
Two or more years of teaching experience with adults in an allied health field using classroom and clinical education techniques.
 
 
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
 
 
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
 
 
Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment and the ability to deal tactfully with internal and external constituents.
 
 
Ability to work a flexible 40-hour weekly schedule including some evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of the department and AACC.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of Paramedic experience.
 
 
Instructor I and II certification through the International Association for Fire Service Organizations, or must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Position Summary

In collaboration with the DHY Program Director, the Academic Coordinator oversees didactic instruction in the Dental Hygiene (DHY) program at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), to include but not limited to, quality assurance of instruction, instructional oversight of dental hygiene part-time faculty, reviewing and updating program manuals, ensuring course content is up to date for instruction, assisting the DHY Clinical Coordinator in supervising students in the dental clinic, and monitoring student retention and completion. The Academic Coordinator participates in student recruitment, orientations, assessment activities, program analysis, student support, workforce development, and technology integration. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, instruction in classroom, laboratory, clinical, hybrid, and online formats, tutoring support, and ensuring compliance with college policies, CODA standards, CDC guidelines, OSHA standards, and ADA recommendations. 
 
This is a staff position requiring an in-person presence. The Academic Coordinator teaches 30&ndash;36 FLH annually, including summer instruction, and is identified as faculty for CODA reporting purposes. 
Job Duties and Responsibilities

In consultation with the DHY Director, oversee didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction including teaching and supervision of students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings; review and revise course content; assist with curriculum development and course sequencing; develop course and laboratory schedules; assist with curriculum quality assurance; and assist the Clinical Coordinator with clinic operations, patient care supervision, quality assurance activities, student clinical evaluation, and communication with supervising dentists, patients, and community partners. 
 
In consultation with the DHY Director, coordinate assessment of curriculum effectiveness, maintain academic records, monitor student progression, retention, and completion, manage surveys for students/graduates/employers, and conduct program and course assessment activities in compliance with Learning Outcomes Assessment (LOA) and CODA standards. Assist with CODA accreditation compliance activities, annual reporting, accreditation documentation, required faculty-to-student ratio compliance, and site visit preparation activities. 
Conduct information sessions; participate in recruitment, outreach, and marketing events; advise and mentor students throughout the program; support remediation and tutoring activities; assist with SGA and SADHA activities; participate on advisory boards and committees; support employment and career preparation activities; assist with workforce development initiatives and collaboration with the Career Center and community employers; and assist with student retention, progression, engagement, and completion initiatives. Participate in community outreach activities and partnerships that support oral health access and workforce development initiatives. 
Assist the DHY Director with maintenance and monitoring of laboratory, simulation, radiology, and clinical equipment; maintain repair logs and records; coordinate repairs with vendors; assist with inventory and supply ordering; support hazardous waste management and infection control compliance; and assist with management and implementation of dental software systems, educational technologies, simulation equipment, digital radiography, Dentrix Enterprise, and digital clinical systems. 
 
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dental Education. Maintain Maryland Registered Dental Hygienist licensure, CPR certification, continuing education, and immunization compliance. 
 
 
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher 
 
Active Maryland Dental Hygienist License, CPR Certification, Local Anesthesia Certification, and Nitrous Oxide Certification 
 
Minimum of two (2) years of Dental Hygiene teaching experience (or equivalent) 
 
Familiarity with CODA accreditation standards and guidelines 
 
Experience with Learning Outcomes Assessment (LOA) and accreditation reporting 
 
Experience implementing standard operating procedures and health/safety regulations 
 
Experience supervising students in laboratory and clinical settings 
 
Experience with dental clinic operations and patient care workflows

Position Summary

The Office Assistant, within the Office of Transfer and Articulation, is responsible for providing administrative/clerical support to the Director of Transfer, Articulation and Career Alignment and the Director of Early College Programs within the Office of Instructional Partnerships. The Office Assistant supports both Directors' initiatives, including transfer/articulation agreements, AACC University Consortium, the Program Pathways initiatives, Early College Programs and Pathways, budget management assistance, and related educational and business partnerships.
 
 
This role also serves as the first point of contact for all office visitors to Ludlum&rsquo;s 2nd floor. Due to the nature of the office, its daily operations, and the importance of an on-site presence, this front desk position requires a full-time on-campus presence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative, clerical, and technical support that includes drafting, preparing, and editing correspondence and other documentation, as well as data collection and entry using Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, Google Suite, and various Adobe products. Develop, maintain, oversee, and evaluate work processes and procedures to ensure professionalism in all aspects of the office operation.
 
 
Provide direct support to the operations of the AACC University Consortium, including communication with partner institutions, collecting and developing spreadsheets reflecting enrollment and FTE, coordinating all room scheduling and special class sessions, tracking student interest using survey and email tools, developing, coordinating, and facilitating outreach and marketing activities and preparing invoices for facility billing. 
 
Provide direct support to the AACPS partnership, including Early College Programs, signature aligned pathways, on-location courses, the proficiency credit initiative, and other related programs aligned with Blueprint. The focus will be on communication of information between secondary schools and AACC, ensuring support for and collection of paperwork, assessments and grading, collecting data on enrollments and updating tracking databases, organizing professional development, developing pathway promotion and informational material, facilitating outreach, and preparing invoices for billing. 
 
Assist the Directors in developing new agreements between secondary and post-secondary institutions. Coordinate upkeep and renewal process of agreements between AACC and other institutions. Upload, enter, and maintain agreements in the agreement database. 
 
Manage website content online, updating as necessary including Transfer Partners (transfer agreements), University Consortium, Early College Programs and Pathways, and other related partnership agreements. Create PDFs, event pages, and links to agreements, colleges/universities, and various documents/websites as needed. 
Facilitate and manage functions related to events, meetings, and programs including facility use, catering, event marketing, material production, event management, payment, and follow-up for Directors. 
 
Support budget management for the Directors&rsquo; accounts, including locating sources of goods, recommending vendors, preparing and processing requisitions, assigning proper account information, and preparing and tracking billing invoices for the Directors for both departmental and grant budgets. Support the development and maintenance of budget account records, monitor accounts, and report account balances to the Directors. Assist the Directors with the preparation of budgets as requested. Coordinate process of expense reports, billing, and payments.
 
 
Maintain the Directors' calendars, schedule meetings, reserve meeting space, secure technical requirements, and provide administrative support for all meetings. This includes other duties as assigned by the Directors. Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries, functioning as an internal and external liaison for the purpose of researching and providing required program information, responding to questions related to articulation, schedules, functions, and resources, or directing inquiries to the appropriate point of contact.
Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED 
 
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience 
 
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (email and scheduling/calendar) in a support role at an advanced level of proficiency. 
 
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including composition, editing, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills. 
 
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to details and deadlines.
