</b><br>
Performs professional-level Human Resources work with a focus on non-certificated positions. Responsible for managing key processes related to recruitment and staffing, supporting AACPS's strategic goals by ensuring equitable and efficient HR practices. The role serves as a resource to employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment regulations. Core duties include reviewing applications, preparing salary offers, supporting recruitment efforts, and coordinating other staffing functions for non-certificated personnel. Annual leave may be limited during specified operational timeframes.

<b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
</b></p><ul><li>Evaluates employment applications to confirm eligibility based on minimum qualifications and specific position requirements. Ensures timely receipt and verification of required documentation, including candidate references.
</li><li>Establishes salary offers in alignment with AACPS policies, compensation guidelines, and negotiated agreements. Reviews and audits salary offers prepared by other staff to ensure accuracy and equity.
</li><li>Extends job offers to selected candidates. Compiles and inputs accurate data necessary to complete the hiring process, including offer letters, staff notifications, and HRIS update information for hires, position changes, salary updates, and other employee records changes.
</li><li>Manages the Unit IV salary increase process, confirming eligibility, issuing notifications, and submitting documentation for HRIS updates in accordance with negotiated agreements.
</li><li>Monitors and tracks employees identified as excessed. Follows established procedures to ensure appropriate placement in accordance with AACPS policies and negotiated agreements.
</li><li>Represents AACPS at job fairs and recruitment events to promote employment opportunities. Occasionally travels to schools and recruitment sites to support talent acquisition initiatives.
</li><li>Provides instruction and support to candidates throughout the application, offer, and onboarding process.
</li><li>Serves as a resource to employees and managers regarding application, hiring, placement, compensation, and other staffing procedures. Provides guidance on relevant policies, negotiated agreements, laws, standards, and procedural requirements.
</li><li>Ensures all actions and decisions comply with organizational policies, negotiated agreements, and applicable employment laws. Maintain thorough documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.

</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
</li><li>Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

</b></p><ul><li>Four (4) years successful experience in human resources, preferably with professional recruiting experience required;

Provides clerical assistance to the administrative and teaching staff on matters related to special education. Work will include maintaining files, taking prior written notice, mailing documents, tracking timelines, and the use of office machines including a computer. Position serves as the collection and organization point, and disseminator of all paperwork related to the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) process.

</b></p><ul><li>Assists special education staff with IEP process documentation including parent notification and follow-up to meetings.

</li><li>Utilizes the special education software to prepare related documentation.
</li><li>Makes copies of IEP&rsquo;s for review and use by special education, regular education teachers and parents.

</li><li>Maintains and organizes student progress reports, data sheets and/or other appropriate documentation of achievement.
