Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. This vital role provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to attorneys across a diverse range of practice areas, including estate planning, social security disability, personal-injury, immigration law, family law, and litigation. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and possess a strong understanding of legal procedures and document management systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful legal work while honing your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Duties<ul><li>Manage and organize legal documents ensuring accuracy and confidentiality</li><li>Prepare, review, and proofread legal drafts, and correspondence with attention to detail</li><li>Assist attorneys with case management tasks including data entry, filing, document review, and tracking deadlines</li><li>Coordinate client interviews and witness interviews to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases</li><li>Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling phone etiquette professionally</li><li>Facilitate communication between clients, courts, and internal teams to ensure seamless workflow</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal administrative role with familiarity in law office procedures</li><li>Strong knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law &amp; regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law</li><li>Research knowledge of Westlaw and LexisNexis for comprehensive research projects</li><li>Demonstrated ability in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription services</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines</li><li>Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients</li><li>Paralegal experience or coursework is highly desirable to enhance understanding of complex legal concepts across diverse fields</li><li>Knowledge of project management principles to coordinate tasks effectively within the legal team</li></ul>Join us in this rewarding role where your expertise will directly impact our clients&rsquo; success!
