We are seeking a visionary Senior Designer to join our fast growing Anthropologie Weddings team. You&rsquo;ll support the Bridal and Occasion design team with overall trend and direction for designs each season with a forward thinking eye, an expert hand in construction, and deep passion for craftmanship. You&rsquo;ll mentor emerging talent, and collaborate across buying, production, and technical design to deliver collections that feel both fashion-forward and deeply Anthropologie.</div>
Role Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Collaborate with the Assistant Design Director each season to define the seasonal trend and design direction for the bridal and occasion category, balancing innovation with commercial awareness and the DNA of Anthropologie.</li><li>
Source and develop fabrics that help to push the product assortment forwards from a quality and novelty perspective. Collaborate with partners in product development to manage lead-time, minimum order requirements, and costing constraints.</li><li>
Communicate fit and construction details to Technical Design. Complete technical sketches for domestic and overseas programs, with in depth construction and design details.
</li><li>Work closely with print and color teams on direction and approvals from sampling through to production.</li><li>
Travel to factories for development and execution of programs when needed.</li><li>
Manage weekly fittings.</li><li>
Lead &amp; Inspire; manage and mentor Assistant Designer, fueling creativity, fostering collaboration, and supporting needs of the team.</li><li>
Own the process, oversee everything from concept sketch to final sample, including fabric sourcing, trims, construction, and fittings.</li><li>
Great cross-functional collaboration skills; partner with Buying, Product Development, and Technical Design to ensure beautiful product.</li><li>
Deliver compelling presentations of designs to leadership and cross functional teams at sketch, and sample review meetings.</li><li>
Stay ahead of trends; Shop markets, and research globally. Take photos and purchase samples for inspiration and translate cultural and runway moments into designs our customer will love.</li></ul>
Role Qualifications:
<ul><li>The ability to recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends. Including color direction, fabric innovation, and silhouette newness approximately 9-12 months ahead.
</li><li>Creative Vision: Have the vision to identify trends in their early stages and understand their impact to fashion. Have creative ideas that give Anthropologie a point of difference so we can be one step ahead for the aspirational customer.
</li><li>Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate ideas clearly and inspire others.
</li><li>Strong team leader, with the ability to work well cross functionally with other teams including, buying, print, product development, technical design etc.</li><li>
Organizational skills necessary to manage multiple tasks and projects, and complete them within deadlines.</li><li>
Excellent hand sketching and/or CAD skills in Illustrator and Photoshop.</li><li>
Comprehensive knowledge of apparel construction, with a focus on dresses, and gowns.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.</li><li>
Experience with embellishment design, and fabric innovation.</li><li>
Leadership skills to inspire teams with energy, clarity and vision with the ability to manage workload and delegate daily direction to the team. The ability to provide feedback and performance evaluation in accordance with company guidelines with the goal of developing and promoting staff internally.</li><li>
Develop a solid team of individuals that share a common vision and understanding of the Company and the Anthro customer and successfully work in a team environment.
</li><li>The ability to develop partnerships with Buyers, Directors and Department heads.</li><li>
7-10 years in women&rsquo;s design, with a focus on dresses.</li><li>
Experience in bridal or occasion a plus.</li><li>
Strong understanding of fashion &amp; bridal trends and the Anthropologie customer.</li><li>
Strong technical knowledge of fabrications and construction.</li></ul><br>

Anthropologie Senior Designer - Weddings

Anthropologie is seeking a visionary and highly creative Dress Designer to collaborate closely with our Assistant Design Director and Senior Design Director. This role is pivotal in shaping and expanding Anthropologie's diverse dress collection. The ideal candidate will possess a trend-forward, hands-on approach, bringing innovative concepts and exquisite details to life, ultimately enhancing our product offerings.</p></div><br>
Role Responsibilities:
<div><div><ul><li>The Designer will create unique and innovative dress product relative to the seasonal concepts and appropriate for the Anthropologie customer. The product ranges from casual dresses to highly embellished and embroidered dresses.</li><li>
Work closely with Assistant Design Director and Senior Design Director to complete line plan requirements on a seasonal basis ensuring that the product is consistent with the market trends and business strategy</li><li>
Research emerging trends and inspiration as they relate to the Anthropologie product and seasonal concept direction</li><li>
Create AI-generated inspiration imagery to support product design</li><li>
Supervise the Assistant/Associate Designer and delegate responsibilities to support the workload</li><li>
Globally source and shop raw materials markets and partner with PD to develop them within pricing guidelines</li><li>
Communicate style details to PD and collaborate with Technical Design and in-house patternmaking teams to set-up specifications for confirmed silhouettes</li><li>
Partner with PD on the status of styles in development on a daily basis to ensure product execution meets design specifications. Track fabric and trim sourcing and approvals with PD and vendors</li><li>
Attend weekly fittings and all relevant design meetings</li><li>
Travel to factories for development and execution of programs as needed</li><li>
Develop, train, and lead the Assistant/ Associate Designer</li></ul></div></div><br>

Highly creative with the ability to recognize and forecast fashion and cultural trends as they relate to the Anthropologie customer</li><li>
Expert knowledge of garment construction, knit and woven fabrics, trims, washes with the ability to mock and drape on dress forms</li><li>
Detailed understanding of the Knit and woven manufacturing process and technique</li><li>
Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and commercial design solutions</li><li>
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in fast paced environment</li><li>
Energetic team player with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with partners in Design, Buying, PD, and Production</li><li>
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Google Docs, and open to learning and using emerging AI generating programs</li><li>
Must have at least 7 years of experience in design experience</li><li>
Position may require domestic and overseas travel</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Fashion</li></ul><br>
