Job Title: Teacher PE Department: Peralta Elementary School and Classical Academy (split) Reports To: Principal FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: Starting at $37,360-$47,360 (Depending upon educational level and years of experience.) Position Status: .8 FTE- 4 Days Per WeekMinimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor/s/Master&rsquo;s Degree</li><li>AZ Elementary Teaching Certificate or other Appropriate Certification</li><li>AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP#</li><li>SEI Endorsement Preferred</li></ul>Core Job Functions:<ul><li>Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to effective instruction and learning</li><li>Provide learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and State and District standards</li><li>Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil</li><li>Communicate learning goals to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language</li><li>Facilitate small and large group instruction based on current research-based best practices</li><li>Use available technology to enhance learning</li><li>Evaluate student growth</li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records as required by State/Federal law and District policy</li><li>Establish oral and/or written lines of communication with guardians to discuss pupil progress</li><li>Participate in team reviews concerning academic progress of low performing/at-risk students</li><li>Use site, District, and State assessment data to drive instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and/or intervention programs</li><li>Effectively implement Individual Education Plans</li><li>Assume responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities</li><li>Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities</li><li>Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and conferences with guardians</li><li>Participate in school and District initiatives</li><li>Maintain professional competence through participation in District provided professional development sessions and/or self-selected professional growth activities</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the District or school site</li></ul>Core Values/Professional Qualities:<ul><li>Promote positive interactions with students, parents, and colleagues</li><li>Be responsible, reliable, and punctual</li><li>Be flexible and adaptable to change</li><li>Positively accept direction</li><li>Exercise positive problem solving behavior and conflict resolution skills</li><li>Adhere to the dress code appropriate to the site and position</li><li>Share sensitive student and staff information on a need to know basis</li><li>Be a positive role model to students</li><li>Adhere to District and school rules, procedures, and policies</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Teaching positions typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, fingering, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.</li><li>Employees may be subject to travel, body fluids, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, variant temperatures, and intense noise.</li><li>Employees may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pound of force constantly to move objects.</li><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
