Position Summary: </b>The Manager of Marketing and Communications (MMC) develops, implements, and evaluates strategies to promote the mission, programs, and services of Apicha CHC. This position devises and manages all of Apicha&rsquo;s marketing initiatives, including via media and press outlets and social media channels, and designs print and digital materials, assists in media outreach, and ensures brand consistency across all platforms. The role combines strategic decision-making and planning with hands-on content creation, emphasizing community engagement, health promotion messaging and patient acquisition.</div><div></div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
The major duties of the position include, but are not limited to:</b></h1><div></div><div><b><br>
Marketing and Communications Department and Strategy</b></div><ul><li>
Manage Apicha&rsquo;s Marketing and Communication Department and make decisions on allocating resources of and expenditures by the Department. Entails regular access to highly sensitive and confidential financial information</li><li>
Responsible for the development of communication strategies for both internal and external communications</li></ul><ul><li>
Determine, develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with organizational goals.</li><li>
Promote awareness of services, events, and initiatives to patients, partners, funders, and the community.</li><li>
Ensure all communications reflect the organization&rsquo;s mission and vision and are aligned with Apicha&rsquo;s strategic goals.</li></ul><ul><li>
Manage and maintain up-to-date communications lists</li><li>
Create and disseminate internal and external communications</li><li>
Steward and monitor the Apicha CHC brand and brand identity to ensure consistency is maintained both internally and externally</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Social Media &amp; Digital Engagement</b></div><ul><li>
Manage and grow the health center&rsquo;s presence across social media platforms</li><li>
Create and schedule engaging, health center appropriate content, including graphics, videos, and stories.</li><li>
Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies for optimal reach and impact.</li><li>
Respond to comments and messages in alignment with HIPAA and organizational policies.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Design &amp; Content Creation</b></div><ul><li>
Decide upon and design flyers, brochures, banners, digital ads, and other marketing collateral using platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.</li><li>
Maintain and update the health center&rsquo;s website with timely and relevant content.</li><li>
Capture and edit photos and videos for campaigns, events, and storytelling initiatives.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Media &amp; Public Relations</b></div><ul><li>
Manage Apicha&rsquo;s public relations and devise public relations strategies and initiatives</li><li>
Draft press releases, media advisories, and op-eds to promote programs and events.</li><li>
Coordinate media coverage and serve as point of contact for journalists.</li><li>
Maintain relationships with community partners, local influencers, and other stakeholders.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Event Promotion &amp; Support</b></div><ul><li>
Plan and execute promotional strategies for health fairs, outreach events, and community programs.</li><li>
Support fundraising and donor engagement campaigns through targeted communications.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Brand &amp; Compliance</b></div><ul><li>
Ensure consistent use of the health center&rsquo;s logo, colors, and messaging in all materials.</li><li>
Adhere to HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality guidelines, and federal requirements for FQHCs.</li></ul><p></p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Analysis, Reporting and Administration</b></h1><ul><li>
Monitor, measure, and report the progress of various communications initiatives</li><li>
Monitor and report patient online feedback</li><li>
Routinely track progress of marketing and communication efforts and develop reports as required for grant reporting</li><li>
Database and email list management</li><li>
Assess highly sensitive and confidential financial information in deciding upon Apicha&rsquo;s Marketing and Communications strategies and plans</li></ul><div></div><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Qualifications:</b></h1><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field required</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or public health setting.</li><li>
Experience in determining and managing marketing initiatives, social media platforms and creating multimedia content.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Skills &amp; Competencies</b></div><ul><li>
Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).</li><li>
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.</li><li>
Knowledge of social media analytics and SEO best practices.</li><li>
Understanding of databases, list segmentation, coding and tracking</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Working Conditions</b></div><ul><li>
Standard office hours with occasional evenings and weekends for events.</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. for event materials and displays.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
