<div>Job Summary

The Director of Human Resources will serve as a Business partner to the executive leadership team and lead all aspects of HR operations, people strategy, and organizational culture. This individual will be responsible for building scalable HR infrastructure, driving talent acquisition, orientation/onboarding, strengthening employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with all HR-related laws and best practices. The ideal candidate has experience scaling HR functions in high-growth technology or cybersecurity organizations and thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. This is a very hands-on role responsible for everything, including Payroll and Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Design, Talent Management, Systems and Process, Compliance (SOCII, Federal Contractor, and State), Employee On-boarding, and Orientation. You must be able to operate at both strategic and tactical, detailed levels and be willing to roll up your sleeves, dig in, and move the organization forward.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership &amp; HR Infrastructure
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with company growth and long-term goals. Anticipate and partner to meet aggressive growth goals.</li>
<li>Build scalable systems, processes, and policies to support a rapidly growing workforce.</li>
<li>Partner with executives on workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development.</li>
<li>Advise on sensitive and complex people-related issues driving strategies that balance organizational effectiveness with employee engagement.</li>
<li>Provide advice on Federal and state legal frameworks that impact full employee life cycle.</li></ul> 


Talent Acquisition &amp; Development
<ul>
<li>Manage a Full-time recruiter supporting strategies to attract top cyber engineering and threat intelligence talent, including the development of a formal employee referral network</li>
<li>Establish programs for onboarding, career development, mentorship, and succession planning.</li>
<li>Implement streamlined performance management systems that foster accountability, growth, and innovation while minimizing bureaucracy.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a system of Job Descriptions and Job Family Frameworks</li></ul> 


Culture &amp; Employee Engagement
<ul>
<li>Champion the company&rsquo;s mission, values, and culture to maintain a strong sense of purpose during growth.</li>
<li>Lead initiatives that drive employee engagement, inclusion, and diversity.</li>
<li>Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees, ensuring a high-performance and supportive environment.</li>
<li>Lead Employee Survey execution and planning.</li>
</ul>
Compensation, Benefits &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Oversee competitive compensation, equity, and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment laws (as needed) including SOCII and Federal Contractor Compliance and on-going changes.
</li><li>Implement HR metrics and analytics to track organizational health and make data-driven decisions.</li>
</ul>
Technology and Systems
<ul>
<li>Review and optimize existing technology platforms and PEO (Sequoia)</li>
<li>Optimize process and tools to speed on-boarding and new hire starts.
</li><li>Review technology platforms for SOCII and Federal Contractor Compliance.
</li></ul>Required Skills:
<ul>
<li>10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.</li>
<li>Experience with PE-backed, fast paced startup company
</li><li>Thrives in ambiguity; high EQ</li>
<li>Proven track record in scaling HR functions for a high-growth technology, cybersecurity, or engineering firm.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of employment law, compensation design, and compliance requirements across multiple states.</li>
<li>Strong business acumen with the ability to align people&rsquo;s strategy to organizational goals.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.</li>
<li>Experience with cybersecurity or defense contracting industries (preferred but not required).</li>
<li>Experience with multi-state payroll</li>
<li>Proven success with managing vendor relations; negotiation skills</li>
<li>SOC II and Federal contractor experience required.</li></ul>

</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required</li>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.</li>
