Purpose of the Job: Responsible to oversee the end-to-end distribution of finished goods at the zonal level, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining optimal service levels and controlling transportation costs within the approved SBU budget. Minimize stock-outs and sales losses by ensuring smooth operations at Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) and Just-in-Time (JIT) facilities in alignment with business requirements. 
Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Material Availability &amp; Service Performance</li><li>Ensure minimal stock-outs at Area Office (AO) level through high dispatch adherence.</li><li>Drive demand forecasting governance in collaboration with regional and zonal teams to enable accurate and effective deployment planning.</li><li>Ensure comprehensive range availability at Area Offices (AOs) to support uninterrupted sales and service delivery.</li><li>Cost Management:</li><li>Manage transportation and warehousing costs within the approved budget.</li><li>Monitor and control freight, storage, and handling expenses.</li><li> 
Warehouse &amp; Capacity Planning</li><li>Responsible for overseeing the operations of all the west region warehouses such as Nagpur, Nasik, Jaipur and Udaipur.
</li><li>Ensure robust inventory control and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy to support efficient operations and minimize discrepancies.
</li><li>Upstream movement of non-moving or non-standard SKUs to optimize inventory and reduce blockage at distribution points.</li><li>Drive initiatives for upstreaming and inventory reduction, especially slow moving and non-moving SKUs.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Vendor &amp; 3PL Partner Management for RDCs &amp; JIT&rsquo;s:</li><li>Implement initiatives to enhance operational productivity, streamline logistics processes, and improve resource utilization across the supply chain.</li><li>Monitor and minimize detention charges by ensuring timely loading/unloading and improving coordination with logistics partners.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Team Management</li><li>Ensure continuous training and development of the team to build and maintain the right skill sets for operational excellence.</li><li>Promote workforce diversity by fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring fair representation across roles and functions.</li><li>Rolling out New Projects</li><li>Drive end-to-end implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) across Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) to enhance inventory visibility, process efficiency, and operational control.</li><li>Lead ATQM and Kaizen initiatives at Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure thorough documentation of all critical logistics processes.</li><li>Implement vertical space utilization strategies in existing warehouses to maximize storage capacity and improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Renewal of Lease and Service Contracts</li><li>Provide quarterly status updates on lease and service contracts to ensure compliance, timely renewals, and risk mitigation.</li><li>Knowledge (Technical / Functional)</li><li>Knowledge of SAP is essential Vendor Management</li><li>Knowledge of tools in demand planning, supply planning.</li><li>Exposure to warehousing processes and operations</li><li>Exposure to manufacturing Environment is also desirable</li><li>Demand &amp; Supply Planning</li><li>Experience of handling a team</li></ul><div>

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for managing entire logistics at national level with respect to service levels within a defined freight budget. To ensure delivery of finished goods from plants to RDCs and Area Business Units and of RM and Capital items from vendors to plants, in a timely manner within company guidelines. Also to ensure smooth administration and functioning of RDC warehouses to facilitate smooth flow of goods through them, as per company guidelines. Drive innovation for cost reduction and productivity improvements.<div>
Major Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all operations. Collaborates with key stakeholders to update, streamline, and enforce these guidelines effectively within the organization. 
 
<ul><li>Transportation Management</li><li>Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) for real-time tracking, route optimization, and performance analytics.</li><li>Monitor vehicle placement, lead times, transporter performance, and transit times for FG/RM shipments.</li><li>Develop transporters and new routes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service.</li><li>Manage and track freight expenses within the budget, initiating corrective actions where necessary.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Transport Budget Monitoring and Planning Support</li><li>Control freight budget by optimizing lanes, transporter capacities, and rates.</li><li>Implement cost-saving initiatives using data-driven insights.</li><li>Develop strategies to improve overall service levels while keeping expenses in check.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Logistics Service Provider (LSP) Management</li><li>Develop and drive LSP strategy for long-term efficiency.</li><li>Ensure 100% transparency through TMS-based track and trace mechanisms.</li><li>Promote Apollo&rsquo;s safety culture within the LSP community.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Warehousing</li><li>Provide strategic inputs on warehouse network design and site identification.</li><li>Oversee performance monitoring of Distribution Centers (DCs).</li><li>Enhance space utilization and storage density.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>MIS &amp; Analytics</li><li>Publish TMS-integrated dashboards on SLAs, KPIs, and audit scores.</li><li>Conduct real-time data analytics for predictive transportation planning.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Commercial</li><li>Handle LSP accounts and oversee the closure of insurance claims within stipulated time frames.</li><li>Manage contractual negotiations and compliance with transport vendors.</li></ul></div><ul><li>Innovation &amp; Cost Reduction</li><li>Implement cost-reduction initiatives through data-driven route optimization.</li><li>Improve operational metrics such as Truck Turnaround Time (TAT), load ability, and productivity.</li><li>Drive digital transformation in transportation using AI-enabled TMS solutions.</li></ul>
