<li>Supervising and managing up to 5 shared work-study student employees (hiring, training, daily supervision, timesheet tracking).</li>
<li>Reviewing and updating students&rsquo; academic major information in Banner.</li>
<li>Managing call campaigns for Incoming, Readmission, and Continuing students.</li>
<li>Providing administrative support for University College Academic Advising (leadership, admin and Records, and advisors).</li>
<li>Managing both advising and PREP email accounts and text inquiries, adding student records notes to DegreeWorks.</li>
<li>Assisting with Orientation Management/Advisor Caseloads, accessing and analyzing Banner, Docuware, and TracCloud reports.</li>

Supervises and manages the front desk area and our work study students as they answer phones, receive walk-in traffic, and complete other office tasks; takes on the student employee responsibilities when none are available. Answers questions from the general public, students, parents and campus partners on advising steps for incoming, continuing, and returning students. Answers questions regarding academic policies and procedures and applies judgment in regards to FERPA when releasing confidential information or to whom to refer questions. Explains and interprets academic and major declaration requirements to staff and students.<br>

<b>Communication &ndash; Written</b><br>
Provides administrative support in multiple formats such as emails, texts, memos, reports or meeting minutes (Google Docs/Sheets, Microsoft Word/Excel) for UCAA. Drafts emails, memos and other documents that relate to intended major changes and managing student record information. Proofreads documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic formatting. Records and documents information accurately. Reviews confidential student records information and drafts written communication to students based on that information.<br>

</b><br>
Uses our established data systems for managing student records. Understands Banner Student Information system software, Orientation Management/Advisor Caseload software, Slate, and related web applications used to perform day-to-day functions (including Docuware file management). <div><div>The Research Events and Communications Coordinator provides critical support for the coordination, communication, and execution of research development programming within the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI). The position ensures that ORI-sponsored events, initiatives, and communications operate efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with the university&rsquo;s mission to advance research, scholarship, creative activity, and public impact.<br>
</div><div><b>1. Event Planning, Design, and Execution</b><br>
<ul><li>Plan, organize, and execute major ORI events that promote faculty, staff, and student engagement in research and creative activity, including examples such as Student Research Day, Research and Creative Activities at App (ReCApp), and Research and Creative Activity Connections (ReCon).</li></ul></div><ul><li>Coordinate all logistical elements including venue reservations, catering, registration systems, scheduling, signage, materials, technology coordination, accessibility needs, and event communications.</li></ul><ul><li>Event-specific supply and equipment transport and set-up. This role will manage all logistical and practical aspects of day-of-execution including coordination with all collaborators, often including physically sourcing and setting up, operating, and breaking down event support needs. These needs will be event-specific, including e.g. venue preparation, inventory and storage, equipment logistics, registration processes, load and transport, food and beverage, facilitation supplies, A/V tech requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with ORI leadership and event leads to design programs that align with strategic priorities and enhance campus visibility of research and creative activity.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with multiple campus and external units to ensure smooth event execution and alignment with university branding and accessibility standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and maintain standardized event workflows, timelines, templates, and documentation for recurring ORI programs and events.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage event calendars and support coordination of faculty workshops, training programs, recognition events, and research engagement activities.</li></ul><ul><li>Assessment and inventory activities to maintain supplies and overall event-readiness</li></ul><div><ul><li>Support post-event assessment activities including attendance tracking, survey collection, reporting, and documentation of lessons learned and best practices.</li></ul><br>

<ul><li>Produce still and motion graphics and other digital assets for App State&rsquo;s official athletics website, athletics social media, marketing platforms (e.g., video boards) and promotional print materials (e.g. posters, schedule cards, etc.).</li>
<li>Create graphics for the use of App State varsity sport programs</li>
<li>Provide design elements and support for social media strategies and content for official athletics social media accounts.</li>
<li>Provide additional content management for sport social media accounts (such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) with a strong emphasis on in-game content to maximize coverage, interaction and growth.</li>
<li>Assist ticketing and marketing operations in creating unique and original content to enhance ticket sales, increase fan engagement and promote fan experience.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Marketing, Strategic Communications, Sports Productions, and associated external units on design assignments, from initial concept to completion.</li>
<li>Assist with game days, photoshoots and have the ability to travel to cover away events as needed.</li>
<li>Provide design support to all groups within the Athletics department.</li>
