Teacher Assistant Preschool
Location: Towaco, NJ
Hours: Monday to Friday,1:00 pm - 6:30 pm
As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.
As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:<ul><li>
Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students</li><li>
Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans</li><li>
Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication</li><li>
Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity</li><li>
Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students</li><li>
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs</li></ul>

Requirements:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire</li><li>
A genuine love of children.</li><li>
Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children</li><li>
An understanding of health and safety guidelines.</li><li>
Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li></ul></div>
