Position Description:

The Controls &amp; Automation Engineer - Electrical Design at Applied Medical plays a central role in the design, development, and documentation of electrical control systems that power automated manufacturing equipment. This position works within a cross-functional engineering team to build reliable, compliant control systems from concept through production support. The Electrical Engineer contributes to the full lifecycle of automation equipment, from electrical schematic design and panel layout through implementation and on-floor troubleshooting. Professionals with backgrounds in controls engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial automation engineering will find this role well-aligned with their experience.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Design and develop electrical control systems for automated manufacturing equipment, including component selection, wiring design, and panel layout.</li><li>
Create detailed electrical schematics and panel drawings that meet applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Generate and maintain complete electrical documentation packages, including schematics, panel drawings, bills of materials, and wire lists.</li><li>
Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical standards, including National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association 79 (NFPA 79), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) requirements.</li><li>
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into final engineering deliverables.</li><li>
Collaborate with controls and design engineers to develop effective solutions, select appropriate components, and contribute to control system research and development.</li><li>

 As an Ortho Clinical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling the clinical value of the Alexis Orthopaedic Protector directly to surgeons.
