Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Al AinJob Type: Full-timeDepartment: Finance/AccountingReports To: Chief Financial OfficerJob Summary:The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. They play a key role in managing accounting operations, supporting audits, and assisting in financial reporting and planning.Key Responsibilities:&middot; Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information&middot; Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.&middot; Document financial transactions by entering account information&middot; Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options&middot; Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports&middot; Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents&middot; Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures&middot; Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions&middot; Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries&middot; Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information&middot; Secure financial information by completing database backups&middot; Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions&middot; Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results&middot; Analyze financial information and summarize financial status&middot; Provide technical support and advice on management&middot; Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures&middot; Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process&middot; Provide input into department's goal setting process&middot; Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule&middot; Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance&middot; Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.&middot; Plan, assign, and review staff's work&middot; Support month-end and year-end close process&middot; Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls&middot; Communicate effectively with clients/suppliers.&middot; Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise&middot; Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, verifying finished product.&middot; Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.&middot; Protects organization&rsquo;s value by keeping information confidential.&middot; Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.&middot; Secures financial information by completing database backups.&middot; If there is any important work during long vacations or government holidays, you need to support the work for the smooth running of the company operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting or finance roles.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (GAAP, IFRS), and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:Experience with financial modeling and data analysis.Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.Experience in auditing or working closely with auditors.Advanced Excel skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per monthApplication Deadline: 31/08/2025
