 Commercial Legal Counsel
 
 to join its in-house legal team in Mumbai.
 
 
 
 
 
 This role is ideal for a lawyer with
 
 5-7 years&rsquo; PQE
 
 in commercial contracting who enjoys working closely with the business and handling a broad spectrum of in-house legal matters. The position offers exposure across technology, trading, finance, HR, and general corporate advisory, with a strong emphasis on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial arrangements.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology, consulting, and finance-related agreements
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify contractual risks and provide practical, business-focused mitigation strategies
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the development and improvement of internal policies and procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist on general in-house matters including corporate governance, privacy, and employment law
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Requirements
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 LL.B (LL.M preferred) from a recognized law school
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years of experience across both in a law firm or in-house role, or in a law firm (financial services exposure preferred)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong commercial mindset with a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
 </li>

 Provide legal expertise across diverse sectors including energy, financial institutions, healthcare, and telecommunications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor junior colleagues and demonstrate leadership on complex corporate transactions.

 Initiate specific business development activities and contribute to deepening relationships with key regional clients.

 Collaborate with colleagues across a global network, managing transactions throughout the MENA region and beyond.

 Candidate Profile
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Qualified lawyer with 3&ndash;6 years PQE in England &amp; Wales (or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong academic record and technical background from a top-tier corporate private practice.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in cross-border M&amp;A, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly effective communicator with the ability to manage a high degree of responsibility and work demands.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing to travel across the MENA region.
 </li>
