ARAM EYE & ENT SPECIALITY CARE

ARAM Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to join our Ophthalmology team and support comprehensive eye care services. Candidates with experience in refraction, basic ophthalmic investigations, and patient counselling are preferred.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and communicates effectively with patients. Strong clinical knowledge, accuracy in diagnostic procedures, and the ability to counsel patients confidently regarding vision correction and cataract surgery are essential.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform accurate refraction and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.</li><li>Conduct basic ophthalmic investigations including keratometry and A-scan biometry.</li><li>Assist ophthalmologists during patient evaluations and preliminary examinations.</li><li>Counsel patients regarding spectacles, lens options, and cataract surgery procedures.</li><li>Explain diagnostic findings and treatment plans clearly to patients and attendants.</li><li>Maintain optometry equipment and ensure proper calibration and cleanliness.</li><li>Document clinical findings accurately and maintain patient records.</li><li>Adhere to hospital protocols, patient safety standards, and infection-control practices.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Proficiency in refraction, streak retinoscopy, and slit lamp biomicroscopy</li><li>Experience in tonometry (non-contact &amp; applanation)</li><li>Hands-on experience in biometry (IOL Master, contact &amp; immersion techniques)</li><li>Ability to perform perimetry (HFA), auto-refraction, lensometry, and keratometry</li><li>Knowledge of orthoptic evaluation, corneal topography, pachymetry, and OCT</li><li>Experience in contact lens management (Soft &amp; RGP lenses)</li><li>Dispensing of spectacles and low vision aids</li><li>Strong patient counselling skills for glasses and cataract surgery</li></ul>Educational Qualification:<ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution</li></ul>Interested candidates may send their resume via WhatsApp to: 9629660183 ormail their resume to recruitment.aramhealth@gmail.comJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Paid sick time</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>OT Nurse: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
