Job Purpose:To ensure all lifting operations are properly planned, risk-assessed, supervised, and executed in accordance with legal and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lifting Operation Planning:</li><li>Prepare detailed lifting plans and method statements.</li><li>Assess the risks involved and implement necessary control measures.</li><li>Select appropriate lifting equipment and lifting accessories.</li><li>Coordination &amp; Supervision:</li><li>Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and signalers to ensure safe lifting practices.</li><li>Supervise critical lifting activities to ensure adherence to plan and standards.</li><li>Liaise with clients, engineers, and HSE teams for lifting operations.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Safety:</li><li>Ensure lifting activities comply with national regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER) and company safety procedures.</li><li>Conduct toolbox talks and briefings before lifts.</li><li>Inspect lifting equipment certifications and ensure validity.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting:</li><li>Maintain lifting plans, risk assessments, lift permits, and lifting equipment records.</li><li>Investigate and report near misses or incidents related to lifting activities.</li></ul>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Certified as a Lifting Appointed Person (e.g., LEEA or CPCS accredited).</li><li>Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging accessories.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in lifting operations.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lifting plans.</li><li>Good communication and leadership skills</li></ul>Preferred Industry Background:<ul><li>Construction</li><li>Oil &amp; Gas</li><li>Marine/Offshore</li><li>Heavy Equipment Installation</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Contract length: 6 monthsPay: AED8,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
