You will help operate the restaurant on a day-to-day basis as a Shift Manager. You will help the management team, ensuring that every shift operates smoothly. You&rsquo;ll also help team members through performance and training initiatives. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service will keep customers coming back for more. What will you do?

Position Description
Under the direction of the Director of Operations or Market President, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve our markets in the surrounding area. The HRBP maintains management staffing levels, ensures management development, and advises on disciplinary action for management and hourly employee issues. Working with the Director of Human Resources, the HRBP ensures compliance with employment law and Company policies for all restaurant operations employees.
Essential responsibilities will include:
Management Recruiting<ul><li>
Ensures good candidate flow through the use of web-based job boards, referral programs, or other advertising</li><li>
Conducts first interview and manages the entire interview process to hire or rejection</li><li>
Conducts reference and background checks on management candidates</li><li>
Facilitates New Hire Orientation for all management hires</li><li>
Coordinates new managers&rsquo; training programs and monitor initial progress</li><li>
Maintains applicant database</li></ul>
Generalist Duties<ul><li>
Audits hourly employees&rsquo; files annually</li><li>
Ensures performance reviews occur at all levels</li><li>
Conducts or facilitates Staff Scans and Upward Evaluations</li><li>
Responds to employee issues / hotline calls</li><li>
Advises GMs on terminations and discipline actions, assist with creating documentation</li><li>
Assists Area Directors with manager documentation and terminations</li><li>
Assists with investigations, collect statements, reviews videos and all facts</li><li>
Assists with unemployment documentation and hearings</li><li>
Collects statistics and documentation for EEO claims</li></ul>
Training<ul><li>
Conducts Management Development classes</li><li>
Presents training topics at GM meetings and AM retreats</li><li>
Ensures on-line harassment training and ServSafe Certification</li></ul>
Miscellaneous<ul><li>
Attends AD staff meetings</li><li>
Participates in monthly HRFM conference call</li><li>
Attends all-store meetings as needed</li><li>
Assists with hourly recruitment at the restaurant level</li></ul>
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.<ul><li>

 Desired Skills and Experience<ul><li>
May require a bachelor's degree in HR, or a minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience working in a Human Resources department with various generalist duties and responsibilities. SHRM certification a plus.</li><li>
HRIS software experience preferred. SAP knowledge a plus.</li><li>
Experience supporting employees in a multi-unit environment, or operations management preferred.</li></ul>
