The Database Administrator oversees the design, implementation and operation of the organization&rsquo;s databases in order to maintain security and integrity controls.</div><div></div><div><br>
The base salary range for this position is $95,178-$149,566.</div><div></div><div><br>
Actual pay will be determined based upon a candidate&rsquo;s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, geographic location, and may include other job-related factors such as certification(s), professional licensure, or internal equity considerations.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Oversees daily operations of production, non-production and redundant database environments on the cloud and on-premises implementations
</li><li>Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management and monitors transaction activity and utilization
</li><li>Reviews database design and integration of systems and makes recommendations regarding enhancement and/or improvements
</li><li>Develops, manages and tests back-up and recovery plans ensuring that all procedures are functioning properly
</li><li>Maintains security and integrity controls over the databases
</li><li>Contributes to the development of a strategy for use of relational databases technology
</li><li>Advises organization leaders on database concepts and functional capabilities and recommends system changes to programming staff.<br>

Qualifications:
<p><b>
Qualifications Required</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field and five (5) or more years of experience in related field; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience</li><li>
Database Certification (Postgres or Oracle) preferred</li><li>
Skill in AWS Glue and AWS Database Migration Service
</li><li>Strong SQL development skills across OLTP and analytical data platforms
</li><li>Skill in Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora for PostgreSQL administration tasks
</li><li>General understanding of Amazon Redshift architecture and service model, including role-based access control, user/group management, and security permissions
</li><li>Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
</li><li>Strong expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning, including query optimization, index strategy, vacuum/analyze tuning, and parameter configuration
</li><li>Experience monitoring and troubleshooting PostgreSQL database performance, resource utilization, and availability
</li><li>Skill in AWS Lake Formation, data lake deployments and administration
</li><li>Ability to organize work for timely completion
</li><li>Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
</li><li>Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
</li><li>Skill in Microsoft Office applications
</li><li>Ability to travel up to 5% of the time</li></ul><div><b><br>
