Manages the operation of the stores to achieve maximum sales performance during shifts as scheduled.
</p><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Achieves maximum sales performance by ensuring,<ul><li>
That the store is adequately staffed.</li><li>
New employees are trained.</li><li>
Store is properly merchandised and is clean.</li><li>
Cash registers have adequate change reserves.</li></ul></li><li>
Assists the cashier when needed.</li><li>
Implements all aspects of the customer service program.</li><li>
Provides training by answering questions, giving directions, and offering feedback about task performance to employees and community service workers.
</li><li>Assists in limiting store injuries by providing safety guidelines to employees, coaching employees about safety issues, identifying and promptly reporting safety concerns to the store manager.</li><li>
Daily reports on performance of the assigned crew and furniture department; suggests disciplinary actions and terminations to the store manager.</li><li>
Maintains daily employee attendance records in assigned departments and makes employees aware of issues.</li><li>
Implements Operations Manual guidelines for banking and cash handling to ensure accuracy and accountability.</li><li>
Ensures all shopping carts are in the store at closing.</li><li>
Follows closing procedures in the Operations Manual to ensure the store is secured at the close of each business day.</li><li>
Prepares the production room for the next shift by ensuring that dropped off donations are inside store.</li><li>
Reports to the store manager or supervisor.</li><li>
Gives direction to store employees during assigned shifts.</li></ul><p>

</b></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Summary</b></h2><p>
Manages the production operation and assigned departments to achieve store sales plan. Manages the store in absence of the store manager and assistant manager for up to two weeks. Provides direction to presorter, separators, hangers, utility person, bailer, and assigned department personnel. Reports directly to the Store Manager.
</p><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Achieves maximum sales performance in assigned departments by ensuring:<ul><li>
Proper quantity of saleable goods in assigned departments.</li><li>
Merchandise is values priced.</li><li>
All signs are correct in assigned departments.</li><li>
Old tags are ragged properly.</li><li>
Trash is properly disposed of.</li></ul></li><li>
When an employee is absent or if a position is vacant, the production supervisor ensures assigning another employee to the duties or completing them herself/himself completes the duties of the absent employee.</li><li>
Implements all aspects of the customer service program.</li><li>
Daily reports on performance of the production crew; suggests wage changes, disciplinary action, and terminations to the store manager.</li><li>
Provides training by answering questions, giving directions, and offering feedback about task performance to employees and community service workers. Reviews the arc thrift Store&rsquo;s Employee handbook with assigned employees.
</li><li>Using the Operations manual ensures an adequate storage program to meet the supply needs of eth store for seasonal merchandise.</li><li>
Maintains daily employee attendance records for assigned departments and makes employees aware of issues.</li><li>
Assists in limiting store injuries by providing safety guidelines to employees, coaching employees about safety issues, identifying and promptly reporting safety concerns to the store manager.
</li><li>Recognizes when the parking lot needs to be cleaned and organized, delegates maintenance assignments, and follows-up to ensures the store exterior is continually clean and neat.</li><li>
Determines which office/sore supplies need to be ordered and submits an order to ensure the store has essential supplies at all times.</li><li>
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, including assignments, which may be outside the primary are of employment.
</li><li>Prompt decision making to resolve problems submitted by associates.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, divide and figure percentages to effectively use operational reports.</li><li>
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</li><li>
Ability to delegate and follow-up to achieve established results.

Two years of progressive experience in retail environment during which responsibilities were considerably increased</li><li>
Experience working with a diverse workforce.

Energy to take on fast-paced work.</li><li>
