<p><b>
Job Summary:</b></p>
<p>
</p><p>The <b>Tennis Pro</b> is responsible for organizing and managing tennis programs, attracting new members, providing lessons, operating the pro shop (if applicable), maintaining courts, and scheduling lessons, tournaments, and court time.</p>
<p>
</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in developing a comprehensive facility operations manual, including policies and procedures for services, administration, and maintenance.</li>
<li>Report any incidents or accidents to the Facility Manager.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing monthly client reports and submit paperwork and financial reports per company policy.</li>
<li>Support facility maintenance, routine preventative maintenance, and repairs.</li>
<li>Maintain monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and products.</li>
<li>Write articles or press releases for the facility as needed.</li>
<li>Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) schedule.</li>
<li>Attend staff meetings and training workshops to stay informed on programs, services, and activities.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service; monitor and follow up on guest feedback.</li>
<li>Ensure facility security by controlling access, enforcing guest policies, and collecting fees.</li>
<li>Patrol courts regularly to maintain cleanliness and safety.</li>
<li>Manage court reservation system to ensure smooth scheduling and flow.</li>
<li>Deliver all instructional services: private/semi-private lessons, small groups, clinics, team coaching, tactics, and strategy.</li>
<li>Coordinate social and competitive tennis events, including special tournaments.</li>
<li>Implement tennis programs for both adults and juniors.</li>
<li>Oversee pro shop and retail functions, if applicable.</li>
<li>Submit all lesson and sales documentation to Facility Director or corporate office on time.</li>
<li>Promote the facility and amenities to potential members.</li>
<li>Maintain an attractive and updated bulletin board.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>College degree or comparable work experience.</li>
<li>Previous experience as a Tennis Professional.</li>
<li>Strong, experienced, and successful tennis player.</li>
<li>Teaching certification from USTA, USPTA or PTR.</li>
<li>Experience promoting and managing diverse programs, events, classes, and leagues.</li>
<li>Experience with budget development and financial management.</li>
<li>Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic.</li>
<li>Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Energetic, enthusiastic, motivational, with professional discretion and appearance.</li>
<li>Able to take initiative and make independent decisions.</li>
<li>Proficient with computer systems and office equipment.</li>
<li>Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform activities including stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, and talking.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.</li>
<li>Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
