The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.</p>

<ul><li>Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.</li>
<li>Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.</li>
<li>Bring the books to the trial balance stage.</li>
<li>Perform partial checks of the posting process.</li>
<li>Complete tax forms.</li>
<li>Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.</li>
<li>Process accounts receivable and accounts payable.</li>
<li>Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.</li>
<li>Assist with payroll processing as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Skills &amp; Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li>Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.</li>
<li>Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li>
<li>High attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>

<p>St. John Neumann Parish is seeking a warm, welcoming, and highly dependable individual to serve as a Part-Time Front Office Weekend Support Person. This role requires someone who is calm under pressure, comfortable working in a parish ministry environment, and who demonstrates strong Christian values and behaviors. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, able to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times, and possess professional phone etiquette and basic computer skills. This position requires a positive attitude toward the job, the parish, and our parishioners of all ages and abilities.</p>
<div><b>Mandatory Availability:</b> Saturday 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM</div>

<ul><li>Meet and greet all visitors to St. John Neumann Parish in a friendly and professional manner; assist in directing them to Mass, meetings, or rooms</li>
<li>Assist new parishioners with registrations by completing new registration forms, offerings, and scheduling; write in the Mass Intention Book and prepare Mass cards as needed</li>
<li>Manage all incoming calls; transfer calls to appropriate persons or departments when possible, or take complete messages</li>
<li>Make photocopies and send faxes upon request</li>
<li>Sort and distribute weekend mail</li>
<li>Read the parish bulletin to stay informed of events occurring during the weekend</li>
<li>Check and maintain the Information Table in the Gathering Space</li>
<li>Support weekend clergy and staff with office tasks or light duties as requested (e.g., stuffing envelopes, folding programs, preparing binders)</li>
<li>For Baptisms: complete Baptism forms, provide preparation information if necessary, review Baptism schedule, and confirm with sacristan before Mass for setup</li>
<li>Add or remove names from the sick/deceased list in the sacristy, ensuring proper updates and records throughout the weekend</li>
<li>Attend staff meetings, typically scheduled on Tuesday afternoons every 2-3 weeks</li>
<li>Complete Incident Reports when incidents occur; recognize emergencies versus issues that can wait until the next day</li>
<li>Set out and clean up name tags and markers during Hospitality Weekend (usually the first weekend of the month)</li>
<li>Turn off lights in the Church, Chapel, Grotto, Gathering Space, kitchen, restrooms, and hallways at closing</li>
<li>Secure the building and lock all perimeter doors when closing for the evening</li>
