Summary: Old Spanish Missions, Inc. (Las Misiones) is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the four-18th century Spanish Colonial Mission churches in San Antonio. The Development &amp; Program Manager (&ldquo;Manager&rdquo;) reports directly to the Executive Director and provides leadership in program development, donor relations, grants, budget oversight, and operational coordination. The Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing fundraising initiatives, cultivating donors and sponsors, managing grants and the docent program while coordinating with parishes, architects, contractors, and civic partners. This position requires strategic thinking, independent judgment, and strong organizational skills to ensure Las Misiones&rsquo; mission and preservation priorities are effectively advanced.

Position Responsibilities:
Donor Relations &amp; Development Program<ul><li><ul><li>Design and implement strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, sponsors and community supporters.</li></ul></li><li>
Develop donor programming, engagement opportunities, sponsorship packages, and a support/membership group plan.</li><li><ul><li>Represent Las Misiones to donors and community partners at events and meetings.</li></ul></li><li>
Develop and implement a docent program for the missions.</li></ul>
Grants &amp; Funding<ul><li><ul><li>Research, identify and prioritize grant opportunities.</li><li>Lead drafting, submission and compliance reporting for foundation, corporate, and government grants.</li></ul></li><li>
Track tax credit opportunities and value on each preservation and maintenance project.</li></ul>
Fundraising Events &amp; Campaigns<ul><li><ul><li>Plan and execute donor and community events, including the Rose Window Gala.</li><li>Manage event budgets, vendor/volunteer coordination, and logistics.</li></ul></li><li>
Develop annual campaign calendar focusing on donor engagement.</li></ul>
Communications &amp; Marketing<ul><li>
Develop and distribute newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.</li><li><ul><li>Manage the organization&rsquo;s website and social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging.</li></ul></li><li>
Develop annual social media and communication plans and implement the plans</li></ul>
Stakeholder &amp; Partner Coordination<ul><li>
Support Las Misiones in the World Heritage Management Group and other multi-agency forums.</li><li>
Coordinate with parish leadership and the Archdiocese on mission priorities.</li><li><ul><li>Work with architects, contractors, and preservation specialists to oversee projects and ensure compliance with preservation standards.</li></ul></li><li>
Maintain strong working relationships with governmental, civic, and nonprofit partners.</li><li><ul><li>Provide Support to El Camino de San Antonio Missions and its programs and events</li></ul></li></ul>
Financial Oversight &amp; Administration<ul><li>
Assist the Executive Director with annual budget development, monitoring, and reporting.</li><li>
Oversee financial processes, including check requests, deposits, and invoices, in compliance with Archdiocesan requirements.</li><li><ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records of income, expenses, donor contributions, and grants.</li></ul></li><li>
Prepare financial and development reports for the Advisory Board and funders.</li></ul>
Other Duties<ul><li>
Draft communications, presentations, and written materials.</li><li><ul><li>Guide donors, visitors, and others through the missions and Camino trail as needed.</li></ul></li><li>
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.</li><li>
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.</li><li>
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.</li><li>

Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Occasional work in the Camino Caf&eacute; and gift shop and perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>Essential Functions - ADA</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred; or experience in nonprofit management, development, or related field considered.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum 4 years&rsquo; experience in a development field.</li><li>
Experience with Blackbaud or Greater Giving platforms preferred.</li><li>
Experience drafting grant proposals preferred.</li></ul>
License and Credentials:<ul><li>
Reliable Transportation</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>
Vehicle Insurance</li></ul>
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:<ul><li>
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret financial documents</li><li>
Experience drafting and making presentations.</li><li>
Database Management: Entering and maintaining donor information in fundraising software (Raiser&rsquo;s Edge, Donor Perfect, Salesforce, etc.).</li><li>
Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Basic Reporting: Creating donor lists, mailing labels, and simple fundraising reports.</li><li>
Scheduling &amp; Coordination: Assisting with meetings, donor visits, and follow-up tasks</li><li>
Basic knowledge of the Catholic faith.</li><li>
Proficiency in social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, X).</li></ul>
Travel Requirements: Travel requirements for the position includes up to 25% local and 0% overnight.</div>
