Position Summary:</b></p>
<p>
The Claims Administrator will handle title insurance and related claims and provide administrative and operational support for the Department. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. He/She must be detail oriented, organized, and flexible in regards to assigned work. This is a full-time position working in a fast paced department, where deadlines are critical.</p>

Essential Functions:</b><br>
</div>
<ul><li>Investigate, evaluate and determine coverage and possible claim resolutions</li>
<li>Determine need to retain outside counsel; manage claims and/or litigation to final resolution</li>
<li>Negotiate with claimant / opposing counsel / third parties for resolution</li>
<li>Participate in mediations and other required court appearances</li>
<li>Review and approve invoices for costs and attorneys' fees</li>
<li>Act as network administrator for Department attorney billing software platform</li>
<li>Perform and assist in initial evaluation for recovery</li>
<li>Handle recovery files from inception to completion</li>
<li>Maintain documentation of claim file activity</li>
<li>Evaluate and respond to clearance / curative demands</li>
<li>Other activities/projects as assigned.</li>

<b>Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul><li>Has at least 3-5 years of experience in the Title Insurance Industry or working as a Title Examiner or Closer</li>
<li>Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.</li>
<li>Possess consistent attention to detail and be committed to accuracy.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Word, Outlook, &amp; Excel and demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly in a digital environment.</li></ul><br>

Education and Experience:</b><br>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>3 - 5 years experience in title insurance or related field</li><li>Basic knowledge of title industry</li></ul></div><br>

</div>
<ul><li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li>
