A Receptionist welcomes visitors to the facility by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, and maintains security by following visitor/resident procedures. Receptionist Essential Job Functions: &bull; Answers phones and operates a switchboard. &bull; Routes calls to facility departments. &bull; Takes and relays messages to facility departments. &bull; Sends emails and faxes. &bull; Greets visitors warmly and ensures they are comfortable. &bull; Ensures reception is tidy. &bull; Coordinates mail flow in and out of the facility. &bull; Performs basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties. &bull; Assists Business Office Manager with accounts payable receipts. &bull; Hands out employment applications.
