<div>Manufacturing Data Systems Intern 
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Data Systems Intern will support digital manufacturing initiatives by helping develop and maintain industrial data infrastructure, visualization tools, and reporting systems. This role provides hands-on experience with manufacturing historians, asset frameworks, data contextualization, and operational analytics platforms. The intern will work closely with engineers and site personnel to improve data accessibility, visualization, and reporting capabilities across multiple manufacturing facilities. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop and maintain Asset Framework templates, elements, and attributes to support the organization's manufacturing data lake and digital manufacturing architecture.</li><li>
Assist with the contextualization and organization of process, equipment, and production data within the PI Asset Framework and Aspen mMDM.</li><li>
Create, modify, and enhance process graphics and dashboards using Aspen A1PE and PI Vision.</li><li>
Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel to improve visualization standards and user experience for manufacturing data displays.</li><li>
Support development and maintenance of Event Frames for batch tracking, production monitoring, downtime analysis, and operational reporting.</li><li>
Perform data extraction, validation, and analysis using PI System, Aspen IP.21, and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>
Develop and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and data tools that support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.</li><li>
Assist with troubleshooting data quality issues and validating historian data against plant records and process information.</li><li>
Support special projects involving manufacturing analytics, historian integrations, and digital transformation initiatives such as the global data lake project.</li><li>
Support Distributed Control Systems graphics development.</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline.</li><li>
Interest in manufacturing systems, industrial data, process automation, or operational technology (OT).</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.</li><li>
Familiarity with databases, SQL, scripting, or industrial software platforms is a plus.</li><li>
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and operations teams.</li></ul>

Works closely with VP Finance Coating Solutions; Monomer FP&amp;A and business team, Coating Resins FP&amp;A and Business team, Sartomer business FP&amp;A and business team, and RSA FP&amp;A and Business team. BU global presidents, Coating Solutions Marketing team, Coating Solutions R&amp;D team, and Colombes Headquarter Finance team. No direct reports. 
JOB DIMENSIONS
The Sr. Financial Analyst works across various parts of the Global Coating Solutions organization interfacing with people at all levels of the organization, up to and including the Senior Vice President, Coating Solutions, COMEX member. The majority of the work must be accomplished with influence skills. Weekly and monthly financial analysis with quick and efficient communication of results. Consolidation and analysis of monthly forecasts of full P&amp;L (sales, margin, operating income) and key financial business indicators monthly and quarterly. Consolidation and analysis of output for budget and 5-year plans with necessary reconciliation analyses. Data mining and development and implementation of automated solutions to improve Finance processes and outputs. Ad hoc analysis requests as needed.

Reporting and Analysis (60%) &ndash; Scope: Global<ul><li>
Conduct RPE per unit / productivity benchmarking across segment.</li><li>
Provide big Capital Project FP&amp;A support.</li><li>
Collection and validation of data.</li><li>
Develop and prepare monthly reporting metrics for Coating Solutions Segment, including dashboards and analysis reports. Ensure that results accurately reflect operational activity.</li><li>
Prepare the monthly Coating Solutions COMEX deck.</li><li>
Coordinate and optimize the process for collecting and presenting key financial and business indicators for monthly reporting and analysis, including the monthly preparation of the Coating Solution forecast and RCG Deck.</li><li>
Provide financial leadership to businesses; develop financial training as necessary for each aspect of the business.</li><li>
Lead effort to improve business processes, to allow for more value-added analysis versus reporting.</li><li>
Influence and Improve business decisions by providing financial analysis and new tools and techniques.</li><li>
Develop new automated tools to optimize reporting process, leverage One Stream, Power BI, etc.</li><li>
Liaison with cross BU businesses, functional and FP&amp;A leaders to conduct financial analysis, identify area of variable cost or fixed cost improvement opportunity.</li><li>
Analyze data on working capital - AR and AP, payment terms as an example to drive AR ratio improvement.</li><li>

Become subject matter expert in current ERP system (SAP-PRD) in anticipation of implementation of new ERP (SAP-Ambition); represent the Coating Solutions Segment during the implementation of the new ERP system.</li><li>

Explore wDesk with Colombes FP&amp;A to push for automation in Coating Solution Reporting.</li><li>

Search and analyze large batches of data in Sales and Margin BI to identify trends and patterns. Extract useful information from data. Develop and implement financial models and dashboards for management.</li></ul> 
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT<ul><li>
The Sr. Financial Analyst must be objective at all times and is in a unique position to identify any financial issues that may not be consistent with Segment goals and / or that are not consistent with Financial Policy. The Sr. Financial Analyst is expected to bring this to the attention of the Finance Manager and help lead efforts to fix the situation and prevent re-occurrences.</li><li>
The Sr. Financial Analyst works directly with multiple levels in the organization as well as across multiple business units. The job requires that the Analyst be flexible and able to negotiate priorities.</li><li>
Many components of this job are time critical, particularly during the first 8-10 business days of the month to meet all reporting needs.</li><li>
Special project requests occur routinely that impact how the Business is run and must be carried out with complete neutrality and with sufficient detail to ensure the best decision for the company.</li>
