<div><p><b>ROLE AND PURPOSE: </b>Serve as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer and Human Resources Directors.</p>
<p><b>
QUALIFICATIONS:</b>
</p> <p><b>Education/Certification:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Some college hours preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><b> Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Five (5) years general clerical/administrative assistant experience or three (3) years educational administrative assistant experience</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Knowledge and Skills:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in general office skills; experience in data entry and word processing</li>
<li>Capacity and skills to manage budget data</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict management</li>
</ul>
<p><b>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
</b></p><ul><li>Serve as administrative assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between the Chief Human Resources Officer's office and each functional area of the HR Department.</li>
<li>Effectively represent the HR department to campus and departmental employees through positive customer service in personal interactions, emails, and phone calls.</li>
<li>Provide content knowledge and expertise to the department in all relevant software programs and systems.</li>
<li>Contribute with work-related thoughts and opinions in general HR Staff meetings.</li>
<li>Consistently seek and recommend HR department opportunities for improvement.</li>
<li>Prepare polished memos and detailed Excel spreadsheets with HR-related content at the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer.</li>
<li>Integrate metrics/reports for monthly and/or quarterly PowerPoint reviews.</li>
<li>Support department with team-building activities.</li>
<li>Prepare and submit board meeting documents for Human Resources, as required.</li>
<li>Support HR budget maintenance and analysis.</li>
<li>Prepare and submit purchase orders, check requests, and travel authorization/reimbursements, as needed.</li>

Administrative Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer

<div><p><b>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</b></p>
<ul><li>The Athletic Grounds Crew Lead shall be responsible to maintain all district's athletic grounds and oversee</li></ul>
the Athletic Groundskeeper teams. Additionally, the position will participate in the daily maintenance,<br>
operations, and application of fertilizers and herbicides to ensure district athletic fields are safe, functional<br>
and attractive.
<p><b>
QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED from an accredited Institution preferred</li><li>Valid TX driver's license Class C required (Class B preferred)</li><li>Knowledge of chemical safety and chemical storage best management practices</li><li>Ability to safely operate motorized grounds keeping equipment</li><li>2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred</li><li>2 years of experience in grounds keeping, landscape maintenance, and athletic field care preferred</li><li>1 years of experience in herbicide and/or pesticide application preferred</li><li>1 year weed control experience preferred</li></ul>
<p><b>
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</b></p>
<ul><li>Supervises the Athletic Groundskeepers and ensures that the staff abides by Arlington ISD policies and procedures</li><li>Follow all AISD safety procedures as covered in AISD safety handbook</li><li>Abide by all AISD policies and procedures as outlined in AISD auxiliary employee handbook</li><li>Comply with all required laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances applicable to obtaining herbicides and pesticides, their application, storage, and disposal of said materials and containers.</li><li>Oversee grounds personnel and maintain operation to ensure district athletic grounds are safe, neat, and well maintained</li><li>Assume responsibility for safe operation and care of assigned service vehicle, tools, and equipment</li><li>Assume responsibility for personal time card</li><li>Maintain a program of preventive maintenance to assure the health and safety of students and staff</li><li>Maintain procedures for locking, safeguarding and checking exterior facilities</li><li>Maintain department schedules, handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines</li><li>Make minor facility repairs and report major repairs as needed to supervisor</li><li>Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and efficiency</li><li>Follow compliance with Occupational Health and Safety codes and standards</li><li>Maintain effective and positive public relations with customers and fellow employees</li><li>Practice high stands of safety and good housekeeping skills in all work related areas, and leave all work areas in a clean and orderly manner upon completion of all job assignments.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or grounds supervisor</li><li>Position may require overtime, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities</li><li>Position will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty, as necessary to</li></ul>

Use of tools/equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity</li><li>Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; work in tiring and uncomfortable positions</li><li>Motion: Frequent walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, and overhead reaching; frequent driving</li><li>Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) on a daily basis. Occasionally move objects up to 75 pounds; ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding ramps, poles</li><li>Environment: Work outside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, noise, vibration; exposure to chemical (herbicides and fertilizer) and electrical hazards; work around machinery with moving parts; may work alone; regularly work irregular hours; occasional prolonged hours; frequent districtwide travel.
