Summary/Objective:
Prepare incoming and outgoing shipping as well as maintain records of all shipping data and necessary documents.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Compares identifying information and counts, weights or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against picking tickets, orders and SAP system</li><li>
Determines method of shipment</li><li>
Uses the UPS computerized shipping machines</li><li>
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons</li><li>
Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage where necessary</li><li>
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications</li><li>
Operates fork truck and hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage or work areas using an RF barcode scanner</li><li>
Performs the confirmation of orders and billing; filing of picking tickets</li><li>
Loads containers for international shipments</li><li>
Quality control to catch pick/pack errors and reconcile orders</li><li>
Follow written Quality Safety Process (QSP) and Standard Operator Procedures (SOP) that apply to the job requirements.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
1+ year(s) of recent applicable experience</li><li>
Must have forklift experience</li><li>
RF Barcode Scanner experience</li><li>
Basic computer working knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel</li><li>
SAP experience &ndash; minimum 1 year (preferred)</li><li>
UPS Shipping machine experience &ndash; minimum 1 year (preferred)</li><li>
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs..</li><li>
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift to perform job duties.</li></ul>
Pay Transparency:
The current pay rate for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will.
