Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Septic Truck Driver to join our team and contribute to the efficient and safe operation of our septic waste management services. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to safety, exceptional driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. As a Septic Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper collection and disposal of septic waste while upholding our company's standards of quality and professionalism.Responsibilities:Operation of Septic Truck:<ul><li>Safely operate a septic truck equipped with vacuum pumps and hoses to collect and transport septic waste</li><li>Ensure the proper operation of the truck's equipment, performing regular maintenance checks and addressing any issues promptly.</li><li>Ability to drive a manual and automatic transmission.</li></ul>Safe Driving:<ul><li>Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving the septic truck.</li><li>Maintain a strong focus on road safety, avoiding accidents and practicing defensive driving techniques.</li></ul>Waste Collection and Disposal:<ul><li>Efficiently locate and access septic tanks and waste storage facilities.</li><li>Perform the proper procedures for pumping, cleaning, and emptying septic tanks and waste containers.</li><li>Transport collected waste to designated disposal sites, following proper waste disposal guidelines.</li></ul>Documentation and Communication:<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of each service call, including location, date, time, and amount of waste collected.</li><li>Communicate effectively with customers and team members in a courteous and informative manner</li></ul>Equipment Maintenance:<ul><li>Perform pre and post- trip routine maintenance checks on the septic truck</li><li>Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the maintenance department for timely repairs.</li></ul>Health and Safety:<ul><li>Strictly adhere to health/safety protocols, including use of PPE and proper handling of hazardous materials.</li><li>Participate in safety/training monthly meetings to share feedback, ideas, and receive continued training</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid commercial driver's license (CDL B) and truck driving experience.</li><li>Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy hoses and equipment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.</li><li>Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and irregular hours.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive hourly wage starting at $28 per hour.</li><li>Comprehensive health insurance including dental and vision</li><li>Additional wellness benefits such as yearly Wellness Fund and optional paid YMCA membership</li><li>Training and development opportunities.</li></ul>If you are a motivated individual with a passion for safe driving, environmental responsibility, and delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for the Septic Truck Driver position.
