 As part-time front desk staff at our location in
 
 Santa Clara, CA
 
 you will answer phone calls and emails, warmly welcome both current and prospective students and their families, and act as the friendly face of AoPS Academy while classes are in session. Additionally, in this role you will support campus operations by helping take inventory, tidying up the facility, and assisting the full-time staff with other campus procedures to ensure things are running smoothly.
 
 
 This is an
 
 in-person, part-time
 
 position at our
 
 Santa Clara
 
 campus. Front Desk hours are weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends during the academic year with Monday through Friday day shifts available during the summer.
 
 
 Note: Candidates should also have flexible schedules and be willing to cover additional weekday shifts (4:00pm-8:45pm) or weekend evening shifts as needed.
 
 We are currently looking for candidates who are able to work some weekdays and Sunday.
 
 
 
 
 Job Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Serve as campus receptionist; answer the phone, respond to voicemails, and pass on relevant information to the appropriate staff member
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage and respond to customer inquiries both by phone and email
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain multiple calendars, schedule meetings and ensure everything is up-to-date
 </li>
 <li>
 Use internal database to generate reports and lists
 </li>
 <li>
 Data entry
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide admissions assistance as needed with consultation requests, scheduling, and post-consultation follow-ups
 </li>
 <li>
 Organize and prepare classroom and office supplies
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise students between classes
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform light cleaning duties; assume responsibility for the organization, operation, and appearance of the lobby and front desk area
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in occasional outreach/in-reach opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Other duties as assigned
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Required / Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience confidently interacting with customers; experience interacting with families and students (elementary through high school) preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organizational and computer skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the general public
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain flexibility to effectively solve problems under pressure
 </li>
 <li>
 Administrative and/or customer service experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency with Google Workspace applications (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Motivated to learn new technologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain customer confidentiality
 </li>
 <li>
