<ul><li>Starting pay is $21.50 / hour!</li><li>We have 2 full-time positions to fill across 2 shifts: 1st shift (7am-3pm) and 2nd shift (3pm-11pm)!</li></ul> 
The Certified MedTech / Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) will administer medications to residents and observe, record, and report, medication interactions or side effects. Will also assist residents with activities of daily living such as grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, bathing/showering, eating, etc. You may be required to respond to emergency calls and situations, and document/report care provided. Familiarity with Alzheimer's/Dementia, and a willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Certified Med Tech / Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) will:
<ul>
<li>Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.</li>
<li>Observe, document, and effectively communicate changes in resident status to nurses and/or administration that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects.</li>
<li>Monitor medications to ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medications are ordered, received into the facility, administered and at change of shift as required by policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.</li>
<li>Store medications in a safe and accurate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.</li>
<li>Routinely inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure resident safety. Report any equipment or supply issues to the Licensed Nurse for correction or repair.</li>
<li>Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming, and eating according to their individual service plan. Assist with transportation to dining room for meal service and/or to Program Services programs within the community. Assist with personal and household chores such as tidying up room, errands, delivers mail and newspaper.</li>
<li>May provide transportation to medical appointments outside of the community, with pre-approved authorization.</li>
<li>Answer resident call signals promptly. Offer comfort and support, emotionally and physically.</li>
<li>Respond to emergency calls, resident/visitor&rsquo;s requests and correct environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate and safe manner.</li>
<li>Observe community policies and procedures regarding resident and team member safety, attendance, timeliness, house rules, teamwork, and resident service.</li>
<li>Maintain professionalism and resident confidentiality at all times.</li>
<li>Adhere to all Infection Prevention, OSHA, fire and safety regulations at all times, to ensure the safety and well-being of all community residents.</li>
<li>Perform all other duties as requested.</li>
</ul>
Education Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Must be a Certified MedTech or Certified Medication Aide in the State of Pennsylvania, as required by the Office of Developmental Programs.</li>
<li>Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by state.</li>
<li>Must be willing to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.</li>
