RETAIL DESIGNERJob DescriptionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a versatile, well-organized and hands-on Retail Designer to join our team in Secaucus, NJ. This role is a unique blend of high-level environmental design and practical execution. You will be responsible for conceptualizing immersive brand experiences, prototyping fixtures, and managing the physical installation of showroom elements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong spatial IQ and the technical ability to bring 3D concepts to life.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign &amp; Strategy&middot; Conceptualization: Create engaging, consistent in-store displays and layouts that align with the brand&rsquo;s visual aesthetics and target audience.&middot; Space Planning: Design detailed floor plans and 3D renderings to optimize customer flow, engagement, and sales.&middot; Atmospheric Design: Select d&eacute;cor and materials to establish the desired mood and brand voice.&middot; Visual Communications: Plan for signage and graphics, including the integration of Outside Vendor Collections.&middot; Trend Analysis: Stay current on retail design trends and competitor strategies to keep our brand at the forefront of the industry.Project Management &amp; Execution&middot; Hands-on Installation: Directly manage and perform the installation of display fixtures (e.g., vanities, sconces, mirrors) to ensure timely and effective showroom updates.&middot; Project Oversight: Manage project labor, including contractors and installers, and coordinate with external vendors within project scopes.&middot; Administrative Accuracy: Simultaneously enter and track a multitude of purchase orders (POs) and sales orders.&middot; Events &amp; Renovations: Lead the design, management, and setup of trade shows and major showroom renovations.Prototyping &amp; Fabrication&middot; Technical Drawing: Generate and maintain all CAD drawings, folders, and technical documentation for the Retail Design department.&middot; Rapid Prototyping: Utilize Laser Cutter machines, 3D printers, and other fabrication tools to create physical product and fixture prototypes.Collaboration &amp; Compliance&middot; Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Marketing, Store Operations, and Management to ensure cohesive design execution.&middot; Regulatory Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to safety, building codes, and accessibility (ADA) regulations.&middot; Reporting: Present design proposals to cross-functional teams and evaluate design effectiveness based on sales results and customer feedback.Qualifications&middot; Experience: Proven experience as a Retail Designer, Interior Designer, or Visual Merchandiser.&middot; Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.&middot; Technical Proficiency: * Advanced skills in Rhino and Adobe Illustrator.&middot; Project Management: Exceptional ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.&middot; Soft Skills: Strong artistic visualization, spatial reasoning, and excellent presentation skills for communicating ideas to stakeholders.&middot; Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D designs and physical executions is required.&middot; Drivers License / Car preferred but not requiredPosition Details&middot; Job Title: Retail Designer&middot; Location: Secaucus, New Jersey&middot; Employment Type: Full-time&middot; Pay Range: $65,000 &ndash; $75,000 (Commensurate with experience)&middot; Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Employee Discount&middot; Reporting Structure: Reports to the Design Director&middot; Work Environment: Requires work within a retail/showroom environment and national travel to various store locations.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume, portfolio (PDF or Link), and a cover letter outlining your specific experience with both design software and hands-on fabrication to: [Insert Email/Link]We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
