For this role, both certified and non-certified Medical Assistants will be considered. Requirements and wages for each level are noted below.
Starting Wage:
<ul><li>Non-Certified- $20.53-$28.23 per hour, depending on experience</li>
<li>Certified- $21.86-$30.07 per hour, depending on experience</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">Position Summary</h4>
The Medical Assistant assists medical providers and works closely with patients in preparation for examination to provide medical care. Performs routine tests and assists with maintenance and inventory of all medical supplies. Completes paperwork assigned by the Provider. Assists the front office, surgery scheduling, and medical records team as needed. Fields and conducts patient calls as requested, manages the in-basket, and prepares charts. Enters ancillary service orders and computerized provider order entries (CPOE).
As a Medical Assistant for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:
<ul><li>Work closely with patients to prepare them for their exam, to provide medical care, perform routine tests, provide treatment, and administer medications.</li>
<li>Utilize clinical and clerical skills to input ancillary orders into EPIC, coordinate patient referrals and surgery scheduling, and assist the front office and medical records team as necessary.</li>
<li>Communicate with staff, physicians, hospital departments, patients, families, and community agencies to improve the patient experience.</li>
<li>Create a safe, customer-friendly atmosphere to provide the best quality service to our patients and customers.</li>
</ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">Position Requirements</h4>
<ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, required.</li>
<li>BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), required</li>
</ul>Certified Medical Assistants must have ONE of the following upon hire:
<ul><li>CCMA: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA).</li>
<li>NCMA: Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT).</li>
<li>CMA: Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA).</li>
<li>RMA: Registered Medical Assistant (AMT).</li>
<li>CMAC: Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (AMCA).</li>
</ul>Non-Certified Medical Assistants must have:
<ul><li>Prior direct patient care or related experience and the ability to obtain CCMA or equivalent within 6 months of hire.</li>
<li>Must obtain one of the 5 certifications noted above within 6 months of hire.</li>

The CNM will function in the following role:<ul><li>
To provide prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care for healthy obstetric patients.</li><li>
To interact with the Obstetric physicians to facilitate care of midwifery service patients requiring cesarean section or other interventions.</li><li>
To provide newborn care following delivery and until 28 days post-delivery to well newborns.</li><li>
To provide preventive well-woman exams, including pap smears and breast exams, and contraception on an outpatient basis.</li></ul>
Position Qualifications
Education
<ul><li>Graduate from an RN School of Nursing is required</li><li>
MSN with graduation from a Certified Nurse Midwifery program is required</li></ul>
Experience
<ul><li>2-3 years in an obstetrical office practice as either a Women&rsquo;s Health Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife is required
</li><li>Must have experience with new obstetrical office patient exam routines, return prenatal patient examination routines, charting, and documenting.
</li><li>Ability to perform uncomplicated vaginal deliveries is required</li><li>
Ability to assist at cesarean section deliveries as a first assistant is required</li></ul>
Required Certifications/Licensures
<ul><li>Nurse Midwife Nurse Practitioner (NMNP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)</li><li>
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board
</li><li>Must obtain and maintain staff membership and appropriate privileges (i.e. ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, etc.)</li><li>
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs</li><li>
Must meet all qualifications to participate in the hospital&rsquo;s programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.</li></ul>

Position Summary
The Case Management Specialist functions as a member of the Case Management team. They utilize communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to carry out the post-hospital care plans and interventions, utilization review, and denials management activities as defined by the RN Discharge Coordinator and RN Utilization Reviewer. Position Qualifications
